@BravesOnTBS I’ve said it before and will continue until its changed, it is just a travesty that he isn’t in the HoF.

Absolutely! Ernie and Pete too.

@BravesOnTBS I loved him. In 1986, 137 of 162 Braves game were on TBS. I scored every one of those games in a handwritten scorebook listening to Skip’s calls. You never knew what he would say next. Score could be 10-2 and he had me glued to the action. Nobody did it better! Rest Easy, Skip.

@BravesOnTBS We had it so good for so long! Those days were the best days!

@BravesOnTBS One of the best to ever call a game. I remember in the 70’s with the Braves down multiple runs late in a game and no real chance to comeback, he would say “If you promise to patronize our sponsors you can go ahead and walk the dog”. I miss the days of pro broadcasters RIP Skip

@BravesOnTBS That was an outstanding tribute. I will never forget being in the locker room after the Braves won the NL pennant in 1996 with the team celebrating, pouring beer and champagne over eachother. Skip quipped: “what a waste of perfectly good booze…” Legend.

@BravesOnTBS I grew up with him on TBS in the 80’s.

@BravesOnTBS I loved his calls, and for many years the Braves DID disappoint, but Skip’s sarcasm made it much more fun and easy to take some of the losses.

@BravesOnTBS The Sid Bream slide call by Skip still gives me chills

@BravesOnTBS My dad would’ve been 84 today. To me, both him and Skip shared the same sense of humor.

@BravesOnTBS The best. The very best.

@BravesOnTBS Tears listening to this. He was such a part of my childhood.

@BravesOnTBS Foul ball back of third, caught by a fan from Hahira, Ga.

@BravesOnTBS Skip Caray was the voice I most associated with @Braves Baseball! Always brilliant on the broadcast no matter the situation of the team.

@BravesOnTBS Skip. A huge reason I watch and follow the Braves to this day. He is definitely missed.

@BravesOnTBS A warning to all: “Trouble if it’s fair.” Listened to the man for decades. RIP.

@BravesOnTBS The Braves fielded some terrible teams in the late '80s, but even as a kid, I appreciated Caray's droll style: "And, like lambs to the slaughter, the Braves take the field."

@BravesOnTBS The broadcast of my youth every summer evening.

@BravesOnTBS His death hurt my heart. His voice is my childhood. (With apeter Cullen) I felt his family's grief.

@BravesOnTBS Im a proud TBS KID and its thanks to Skip, Don, Joe and Pete. They as big of a reason I love the Braves as Maddux , Glavine and Smoltz.

@BravesOnTBS Skip, Ernie, Don, and Pete: we were really blessed.

@BravesOnTBS I miss this man so much

@BravesOnTBS The best. Just the best.

@BravesOnTBS I started watching back in 78 when it was Channel 17 WTCG. RIP Skip. Also RIP to Jim Huber. Another Atlanta legend with the Narration 😞

@BravesOnTBS One of many great things about Skip was he made you feel like extended family, even if you never met him. He cared about the fans & the team so much, and it showed. And he could make you laugh til you cried no matter how bad things were on or off the field! I miss him so much.

@BravesOnTBS He always loved when a caller would ask him to explain the ‘infield fly rule’.

@BravesOnTBS Loved Skip. One of a kind

@BravesOnTBS It’s cocktail hour

@BravesOnTBS Who narrated at the end? Familiar voice but can’t put a name to it.

@BravesOnTBS Thank you Skip!!! I grew up watching the three greatest ever on TBS!!!!

@BravesOnTBS GOAT 🐐

@BravesOnTBS He and Ernie and Pete were the best.

@BravesOnTBS Part of the soundtrack of my life.

@BravesOnTBS I think of him every game. Still listen to games on the radio, but there will never be another Skip.

Honoring the Memory of Steven Sotloff, of Blessed Memory Today, we remember Steven Sotloff, a courageous Jewish journalist whose life was tragically taken by ISIS a decade ago. His bravery and dedication to truth continue to inspire us. The greatest tribute we can offer is to ensure that terrorist groups like ISIS, Hamas, Islamic Jihad, Hezbollah, the Houthis, and their ilk are eradicated. Our mission is clear: to make this world safer for all—except those who seek to destroy it through terror. Who stands with us in this fight?
