The actor, best known for playing Dr. Mark Sloan on ‘Grey’s Anatomy’, died on Thursday surrounded by by his loved ones, his family shared in a statement to ET. “With heavy hearts, we share that Eric Dane passed on Thursday afternoon following a courageous battle with ALS.
