Yet again Devin Dreeshen refuses to say where he stands on remaining in Canada. Many other UCP MLAs and Ministers are also ducking the question. It’s clear that there are separatists in the UCP government. Every Alberta NDP MLA signed a pledge saying they would fight to stay in Canada. Not one UCP MLA has done the same. Danielle Smith put this national unity crisis question forward. She must come clean with Albertans, right now, about how many of her MLAs are separatists.

Smith adds it will require an additional $50 billion a year to run such a government. The Premier also says Alberta would have to renegotiate all trade deals, including agreements under USMCA. Danielle warns a new Republic would likely face immediate new tariffs or higher tariffs on Alberta goods, currently under Canadian trade deals. She also warns travel and property rights inside the rest of Canada & around the world could be limited, cumbersome or rejected. Do you think the Premier's warnings are credible?

I’m all for Alberta separating from Canada, but a new “Alberta Republican Party” on the right is a really bad idea. It’ll split the vote, hand the NDP power in 2027, and set back the Alberta independence movement.

I warned Alberta separatists repeatedly the government would drag this referendum out for years. Meanwhile Mark Carney will grant citizenship to hundreds of thousands of new arrivals, who will vote to remain in Canada so they can bring their extended family over. The government will never let you leave Canada because you pay the bills.
