Cea Weaver on rent stabilization: " I think rent stabilization and, and rent freeze are just... such an important way to interrupt that cycle of speculation, displacement, and rising rents across the whole entire city. It is the way that we can tell, um, we can tell an entire class of real estate owners that this building is more important as a home than it is to, you know, lining your pocketbooks."

Elon Musk: Tesla has no need to buy Uber. “There's no need [to buy Uber] because we have millions of cars that will be able to operate autonomously. And I should say that it's a combination of a Tesla-owned fleet and also enabling Tesla owners to be able to add or subtract their car to the fleet so that existing Tesla owners will be able to earn money by adding their car to the fleet for autonomous use. I think it's maybe possible for Tesla owners to make more in allowing the car to be added to the self-driving fleet then they cost them in the lease. And that's why I'd consider it sort of a business model that's similar to some combination of Airbnb and Uber. Just like Airbnb, you can rent out your spare bedroom or your house if you're not using it and make money on it. And that's what we expect Tesla customers to be able to do.” Interview with David Faber, May 20, 2025 Made and published via

Cea Weaver says the quiet part out loud.... "We decided that fighting for rent control was a strategic and critical first step in the fight for full social housing... We decided that through a program like rent control, we are able to directly challenge the logic of unfettered profit in the real estate market. We are able to directly challenge housing as a wealth-building tool and, through regulation, strike a blow to the entire real estate industry at once. The beauty of rent stabilization and rent control is that it weakens the speculative value of the real estate asset. The value is no longer based on what the landlord is able to get, but rather it’s based on a state public board deciding how much rent is going up. And yes, that board is controlled by the real estate industry, and yes, there could be a better way to regulate it. But the idea is that we could weaken the entire industry at once through a strong rent control campaign, and that would strengthen our ability to fight for social housing.” Serious question: How is this constitutional?

$Introducing The PinHouse: The Physical Warehouse Underpinning PinLink's "Amazon for RWAs" When the PinLink mainnet goes live within the next 2 weeks, we'll have enough inventory to offer the world's largest RWA marketplace for physical assets. But we won't be stopping there. We're currently drafting plans for our "PinHouse" Warehouse which is designed to double the capacity of assets we can host. The PinHouse will be designed to take all the complexities of asset hosting and maintenance away from fractional owners. In doing so, we can offer an Amazon-style service where PinLink takes care of all the logistics and you can passively earn from the assets. Here's a visualisation of the PinHouse that our architects have created for us as we plan development 👇$

"we bring the same principles of the equity world to digital assets" Native assets of public permissionless decentralized networks are commodities, not equities. They exclude Bitcoin while keeping ETH/Solana? Do they not know that PoS and PoW are very similar in the principles they are trying to measure? The index composition makes no sense and imo is the scary truth, that institutions in this space struggle hard to 1) understand it 2) how to value it. Protocol revenue here is literally the friction between users and forced stakeholders like miners and validators. The more revenue a protocol earns the more it took away from users to use a network. It's bizarre how this makes sense for an open protocol, it makes absolutely sense for a business and thus equities. The XRP Ledger says, hey its super cheap to make forward progress if just agree on it, no friction no revenue. We are so ahead in our understanding of this space it's not even remotely funny.

Had my mind blown today by how simple it was to buy Tokenized Gold. I was listening to Balaji talk about Gold today on a podcast with Luke Gromen I asked ChatGPT “what’s the best way to buy Gold that’s digital and almost like owning the real thing?” It responded with “tokenized gold: Each token represents ownership of real, physical gold This is not a gold stock, not an ETF, and not a synthetic bet—it’s closer to digital warehouse receipts for gold.” It then said the best option was Tether Gold (XAUT). I remembered recently the World team saying that you could buy real assets like Gold on World App. I wondered if you could buy XAUT? I opened the app and one of the first ten assets was XAUT. Swap USDC for Tether Gold in under 10 seconds and that’s it. The experience was magical. We are so close the Balaji vision of interoperable money and assets. When everything is a token, value will be the only thing that matters again. Tokens are just 24/7 global markets for trust. People will be able to move in and out of whatever assets they trust instantly. Trust will become the most important thing that compounds. What’s even cooler, is that you can then send Gold to anyone, instantly in World Chat 💬 Any asset, anywhere, to anyone, in any any chat. Check out the screen recordings to see how fast and easy it was

This year, our task is not only to strengthen our air shield and long-range capabilities to the fullest extent possible, but also to inflict maximum systemic losses on Russia. This also refers to frozen Russian assets. The terrorist state's assets, as well as those of affiliated individuals. All of these assets must be confiscated and used to protect against terrorism. It is fair to destroy terrorists. And it is fair to make the terrorist state pay for its actions. We are working tirelessly with our partners to ensure that the decision on Russian assets is made as soon as possible.

The #pDAI picture has become clear, in what some believe are the final moments before the peg p-DaiMaxi has found that the secret L2 will deliver the peg through a protocol using a sealed vault model - where collateral goes in, but isn’t redeemed by us or arbitrage bots. Think of it like the Greyscale model. Where assets flow in and tradable shares are distributed. In this model, #pDAI acts as a share. #pDAI as a share of this vaults value can maintain its peg to $1 without the need for it to be redeemed by the underlying assets. ⬇️ If pDAI $1: The treasury sells pDAI to the market and uses the proceeds to buy #WPLS, #HEX, #PLSX - injecting value into other ecosystem tokens. ⬇️ This is where we’ll see the #Hex encapsulated stakes appear as collateral. This is where the OA bags will end up. This is where our story comes to its climax. #pDAI to $1 Video from @files_dirty 👇

Skull Cave - Silence in Depths by Environment Artist Awais Azhar is a fully explorable 360 dark fantasy scene intended for audience exploration and was made using Quixel assets💀 To push himself creatively, he set a challenge to himself to use only assets from the Dark Ruins sample project. "Limiting yourself to a single asset pack or strictly controlling your asset pool size can be a great way to spark creativity and improve problem-solving. For this project, I worked exclusively with the Dark Ruins sample assets, using Unreal's Modeling Tools to reshape and customize them. Elon Musk: Tesla will be the Airbnb for cars. “My prediction is that probably by the end of next year, we'll have probably hundreds of thousands, if not over a million Teslas doing self-driving in the U.S. Unsupervised full self-driving where you do not need to pay attention. We'll have a model that is kind of like some combination of Uber and Airbnb. If you're a Tesla owner, you'll be able to add or subtract your car to the fleet. So, just like an Airbnb, you could rent out your spare bedroom or rent out your house when you're not using it. And the same thing will be available for Tesla owners. So it's a way for Tesla owners to earn revenue. Instead of having your car sit in the parking lot, your car could be earning money.” From: CNBC Interview with David Faber, May 20, 2025
