When Republicans love a bill, CBO is gospel. When it contradicts their talking points, suddenly it's “always wrong.” Andy Barr trashing the CBO is just more selective outrage. if the score said what he wanted, he’d be reading it on the House floor like scripture

And there’s the “dynamic” voodoo math, that Republicans are using to pull the wool over everyone’s head. “When Trump’s tariffs bring in billions…”, “with the billions DOGE is saving”… One more house of cards. It’s not real.

The CBO is wrong: Without this bill, we would face the largest tax hike in history and the CBO would project 1.8% growth. Even with full expensing for manufacturing equipment and historic tax relief, the CBO still projects only 1.8% growth. If you turn up the growth projections to 2.8%, which was achieved during President Trump’s first term, then the debt disappears. We are growing GDP faster than debt and that trend will continue through the remainder of the President’s term.
