Epstein survivor: On November 19, 2025, Congress passed the Epstein Files Transparency Act because the American people have lost confidence in the Department of Justice's commitment to transparency in the Epstein case. The act imposed legal obligations on the DOJ. It required the Attorney General to release responsive records, protect victims' personally identifying information, and limit redactions to those specifically authorized by law, and provide Congress with an accounting of what was withheld and why. Yet 6 months past the deadline, the department has failed to do that.

There is a subpoena by the Oversight Committee, there’s an Epstein Files Transparency Act, and over and over again we’ve seen Trump either refuse to release the files or illegally redact names. There are now very serious allegations against him. This is incredibly serious, and I think Trump would do whatever it takes to distract from this.
