Spending billions of dollars on subsidized soda does not help fight hunger. In fact, people on SNAP are disproportionately FATTER than those who aren’t.

Her rhetorical game doesn't acknowledge the fact that I saw an overweight woman with a cart full of food complaining that SNAP wouldn't pay for everything she wanted. She was CLEARLY not "going hungry".

His point is, that you can take that wasted money on a beverage that is contributing to ill health of underprivileged people and invest those monies into something like milk or juice or so many other options besides sodas! These people in charge of these programs should never be in charge of these programs!

Snap is a supplement to buy food. To strictly restrict the food that can be bought to fruit and vegetables doesn’t even align with his argument when the fruit and vegetables and meat are filled with chemicals and pesticides. “Is tHAt NuTRicINAl”. No it’s not. The food that is bought is supposed to feed the family. I’m not condoning the buying of sugary snacks as I don’t think that’s all they’re supposed to be used for. But we’re not going to pretend that the world as a whole don’t enjoy a soda with their meals. Like she said, you’re focusing on soda like that’s what people are eating for dinner. Soda. No.
