The real issue isn’t tariffs—it’s decades of weak leadership letting China and others rig the game. Past administrations allowed unfair trade practices, forced tech transfers, and IP theft to hollow out our industrial base. The America First approach fixed this by renegotiating bad deals like NAFTA into the USMCA, which brought back auto manufacturing jobs. The Phase One Agreement with China forced them to stop stealing our tech, and tariffs leveled the field against dumping. Since 2016, median household income surged 10.5% in three years because we stopped letting foreign predators exploit our markets. The problem wasn’t tariffs—it was letting globalists sell out American workers. Now we’re reshoring critical industries, securing supply chains, and putting domestic production first.

Here’s what could get more expensive with Trump’s new tariffs.

@RepCarlos The irony is rich—countries that built trade walls for decades are now crying foul when America finally brings its own bricks. Fair trade starts with fairness both ways.

@RepCarlos A lot of our industries left because it's cheaper to manufacture elsewhere

@RepCarlos Fair trade is coming back!

@RepCarlos I didn’t even know they ALL had tariffs on us.

@RepCarlos This shouldn't even be political. Everyone should want it.

@RepCarlos Well, China made a mistake, they are trying to do their big flex, and when they lose, I’m not sure how they are going to spin this one.

@RepCarlos You don’t want a level playing field. You want to steal everyone’s companies by making them setup shop in America to avoid your high tariffs. Stop saying “fair playing field”.

Don't use wiggle words like "a bunch" tell them the truth! We lost more than five million manufacturing Jobs since the free traders started fucking us in 1990s. More than 80,000 manufacturing facilities closed - that's factories, entire industries gone. This is graft and malfeasance on a collosal scale. Don't whitewash it.

@RepCarlos You lost jobs because of profiteering CEO's not because of tariffs.
