I sued the federal government to demand they use available funds to continue SNAP benefits during the shutdown — and we won. But here’s the problem: USDA said they will only fund half the program, and following their plan could take months to drive those dollars out — leaving millions without the assistance they need. And just now, Trump said he intentionally won’t send out SNAP payments until the federal shutdown ends. The Trump Administration has the money and the ability to fund SNAP and help hardworking folks put food on the table — they’d just rather play politics with people’s lives.
