@RepGrothman you are just attempting to justify a tax increase on single parent families by calling for the elimination of the head of household deduction. Your proposal raises taxes on the poor and middle class and gives more tax breaks to affluent 2 parent families.

Women choose courtship, men pick wives. Women are conservative with who they date, men are conservative with who they marry. Women are picky when it comes to sex, men are picky when it comes to commitment. To be a wife you have to be selected. We need Fathers to teach this.

Medicaid keeps people prisoner to the government. If you use Medicaid, you no longer truly own your home. Elderly and disabled in Texas have APS going to their door to harass them and force them into nursing homes so they can take their homes. If you need to purchase a home in better repair or for any other legitimate reason and selling your current home is required for funding, you are screwed. The State will come for the proceeds or the house itself. They force people into poverty and/or into committing crimes, which in turn makes them paranoid to the point that they don't participate in normal society or pursue better jobs or other ways to increase their wealth so they can live better. The Government is Satan!! Less government! Americans are sick of being prisoner to their own systems!

Hating on Indian men has become cool for women. Remove arranged marriage and all the girls who are greedy, unemployed, and a burden on their fathers won't get married.

Women's sports only survive if they are either heavily subsidized or sexualized. Neither path is good. Women were not designed to be aggressive competitors in high-impact sports. They were created to be gentle helpmates and mothers. Forcing them into professional athletics often comes at the cost of their health and natural design. The better approach is to stop propping up sports that cannot stand on their own and instead encourage women toward the roles they were made for. Building families and supporting their husbands is where their greatest strength lies.

This is not the only vision for what it looks like to have politics in this country—that is so divorced from the needs and wants of everyday people. And what we are looking to show in New York City is an alternative to what has led so many to become disenchanted with the political process. We want to show that not only can government work, but it must, and that at its core, our responsibility is to working people—to ensure that we’re doing everything to make their lives easier. That has to be what drives our actions, and for too long, government has felt more like a distraction than a fulfillment of the needs of the people who’ve been left behind by the politics of today.

The awareness of marriage is getting greater and greater in terms of bad outcomes. 50% of marriages fail after seven years, not because of infidelity. It's mostly financial stress. What I liked about the concept is that it forces, in a period of high romantic intensity, a look at another aspect of the relationship and that's the due diligence on finance. Who are you coupling with? What is their financial background? What is their financial situation? What are their spending habits? Because the stark reality of marriage is you're forming a business. You'll have to support a family and that takes money. And so I love the premise of it.
