Guess which shithole country got denied a spot in the 2026 World Cup? That’s right. It’s the land of Putin. The man and the country with a future as bright as a Siberian winter and twice as long.

This week is the first time in 4.5 years that the “special military operation” is affecting the daily life of every resident of Russia. Once dubbed by McCain as a “gas station masquerading as a country,” Russia is experiencing a fuel crisis because of Ukrainian strikes on its refineries. To get gas, Russians now must spend hours — sometimes an entire night — waiting in line. Many gas stations just closed, including in Moscow. The more the Russian government says “don’t panic, there is no fuel shortage,” the more people panic.

James Gandolfini makes a leap as Tony Soprano in the show’s second season. As I rewatch this show for now the 6th time, it’s clear to me that season 2 is where Jim really stepped into Tony as both a mob boss & a man on the verge of a mental breakdown. He’s just so good here.

Putin declared that Russia is directly governed by God: "Field Marshal Munnich said the following: Russia is a country that is directly governed by God. Because if it's not like that, it's unclear how it can exist at all. With the first part, I do agree. Russia is a country that is directly governed by God." I hope he didn't mean himself?
