Something I find especially interesting about Thomas Massie is how completely misrepresented he is by both his supporters and detractors. A lot of people have crafted this image of him as some kind of anti-Israel/Zionist champion, but that’s pure fiction. I listened to an interview a few weeks ago that shattered whatever hype was built around him. Turns out, everything people have been arguing over—the myth, the persona, the supposed stance—is just one big illusion. A manufactured perception. People are out here fighting tooth and nail for a hero they don’t even know. A hero built on misinformation and projection. It’s almost comical—until it gets fucking exhausting watching the same delusions get regurgitated over and over.
