Repairing a PSP Go and adding Micro SD support

I'm rarely using solder paste - looks like that's an omission, have to try using it more for things other than reflowing with a heat plate.

I have found it really useful for small stuff like this, it is just flux and solder so it makes it a lot easier to get a good joint

i have watched hundreds of hours of repair videos on youtube and have never seen someone repair a lifted pad that cleanly. v impressive 🤩

Having this level of steady hand just for my nails🙏😭 But damn, I really like, I just dug my PSP out and got it a 128GB SanDisk Ultra and a new battery.

I really need to buy solder mask… and proper flux. I need to buy a lot of things actually.

Square test point pads near the ms slot are connected to these traces should you have trouble mending them.

what would you say is easier to repair torn pads with, enamel wire or proper replacement pads?

Enamel wire. I've tried those copper pads, they never stick
