Repeat after me. Britain does NOT owe reparations to anyone. This great nation led the world to end slavery. Those demanding reparations are playing the Marxist politics of yesterday with no answers for tomorrow. Truth is, the world owes a huge debt of gratitude to 🇬🇧.

Prince Albert apologised for the slave trade in 1840. The 1833 Slavery Abolition Act cost 40% of the Empire’s expenditure. A debt so large it wasn’t paid off until 2014. The West Africa Squadron was tasked with ending the Atlantic slave trade. 150,000 slaves were freed.
