💔 💔💔WE LEFT BORRIS CARLOW HEARTBROKEN, ANGRY AND ASKING: HOW IS THIS ALLOWED TO HAPPEN?💔😡😡😡 Yesterday our MLHR team made an emergency trip to the horse fair in Borris, Co. Carlow, and what we witnessed was devastating. Horses left without food or water, exhausted and some in terrible condition. One young horse, only around a year old, was covered in ringworm, had just one shoe and was desperately weak. He was being sold for €150. Thankfully, we managed to get him out before he was sold. He is now safe with us and receiving veterinary care. ❤️‍🩹 But it wasn't only the horses. We witnessed people shooting pellet guns at locals and at animals. One mare who was shot with a pellet gun went running up the street with her goal following, heart breaking , 😡😡💔💔💔💔 We also tried desperately to help two puppies, but by the time we found a Garda who was willing to help us, the puppies had disappeared.😡💔 At one point, a member of our MLHR team was also put in danger. We raised our concerns with Boris An Garda Síochána , but we were deeply disappointed that we did not feel the seriousness of the situation was being taken as seriously as it should have been.💔😡 We always work and highly respect an garda Siochana , some of our volunteers and friends are Gardaí, which is why this experience was particularly upsetting. We left Borris angry, heartbroken and exhausted, wondering how this level of suffering can be allowed to happen in Ireland. And this isn't just about Borris. These fairs happen across the country. PLEASE, DON'T LOOK AWAY.💔💔💔 If you see animals being neglected, denied food or water, injured, sick or in danger, REPORT IT. Document what you safely can and speak up. 💔💔💔RIP FRANCES💔💔💔 I am Frances and this is my story...... I was weak and emaciated but I knew I had a little life growing inside of me, so I had to keep fighting. I was caught in barbed wire and I could not move, I ate what I could for me and my baby and hoped that help would come soon🙏🙏 Help arrived...Kind and caring voices I could hear and I felt some hope. They freed me and brought me to their sanctuary, a very kind vet tended to my wounds. I was treated with kindness and respect and I felt safe. I am an old mare and I could feel my body start to fail. The kind people at MLHR were minding me closely and I was moved to a hospital to receive urgent care. Again I felt the gentle hand of people and I knew I had one last job to do, I had to have my baby, to give him a chance at a life worth living. So I lay down for one last time and gave birth, a beautiful little boy came into this world. I had no energy to care for him but I knew he was in the best hands. I dont want to leave my son but I have nothing left to give, I couldnt go on! So I left my darling boy in the care of the most wonderful people and I hope and pray that he has the strenght to make it. I am Frances and this was my story... PLEASE, PLEASE donate towards Franky's care he needs you🙏🙏🙏

He lives in his car with a right foot chronic injury and is unable to work. Since he is unable to work, he is homeless as he cannot pay his bills, yes that is how the USA is. Njoroge came to the US with his Kenyan wife but before they came, he was involved in accident in Kenya. When they arrived in the US, his mobility was limited and hence couldn't work more, he disagreed with his wife, wife filed charges, he now became a liability since he couldn't work and bring money 💔💔💔😭Njoroge was ultimately thrown into jail with a painful leg, when his jail term was completed, he became afraid to go back home as he feared another jail term and would risk deportation. Now living in the streets in his car and sleepingin the car park of WalmartSupermarket, his mobility is severely limited to his zimer frame, he cannot have a proper shower, cannot have a proper meal, cannot rent a house, he cannot even buy medications for himself. She was surrendered to the shelter on June 28 when her family was preparing to welcome a new baby. They shared that she is housebroken, good with children, good with other dogs, and already knows several hand signals. Normally, puppies don’t stay in the shelter for very long. But Julie has been there for almost 1 month…🥺 Every time someone stops at her kennel, they smile… until they hear one word. Deaf. 💔💔💔💔💔 Then they keep walking. 😭 After spending time with Julie, my heart absolutely broke for her. She is incredibly sweet, so gentle when taking treats, eager to please, and unbelievably smart. She already knows hand signals for sit, down, and paw, and she’s ready to learn so much more. Being deaf does not make Julie a difficult dog. It simply means she communicates a little differently. Dogs don’t care how we communicate… they just want to understand us. Julie can learn just like any other dog with patience, consistency, and love. If you’re looking for a calmer dog who’s a little more chill, then a puppy probably isn’t the right fit for you… deaf or not. Please keep that in mind before adopting a puppy. They have lots of energy, they need guidance, they need patience, and they need someone who is willing to teach them how to navigate the world. “Remember Kofi in your prayers. He is deteriorating very fast and needs divine intervention.” … 5 minutes later … “Kofi is gone.” The conversation between my mother and me on Tuesday, 28 April, 2026. My mother’s younger brother had passed away. I rushed to Korle Bu to see my uncle’s lifeless body. Pains. 💔💔💔 Uncle Kofi knew the Lord, loved the Lord and longed to be with the Lord. Today, we mourn but we know exactly where he is - with the Lord. He prepared his exit (just like my grandfather) and did not fear death. I remember the powerful prayer he raised at my wedding service, to the amazement of the officiating priests. Yes, that was Uncle Kofi. He would always quote this verse, Isaiah 51:11: “Therefore the redeemed of the LORD shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their head: they shall obtain gladness and joy; and sorrow and mourning shall flee away.” My last meeting with him was at the one week ceremony of my in-law, Wilson Atta Krofah, where he came to lend his support. He said, “my brother, I have been very sick but I am well now. Let’s talk soon so I can brief you.” He never hesitated to let me know how proud he was of me and my brothers. Rest in peace, Uncle Kofi. Rest in the bosom of our Lord.

You probably don't understand just how insanely talented to the maximum level Hayden Panettiere was until you've watched Nashville. This woman delivered banger after banger throughout the show's entire run, and so many of those songs have been stuck in my head since I first listened to it. "Trouble Is" went platinum in my house because they had absolutely no business going that hard! Do yourself a favour and go watch Nashville in honor of Hayden, please. Love her. Love Juliette. Love Nashville forever. It's hard to put into words how much this performance and this character mean to me. I still can't believe a talent this extraordinary is gone 😭💔🥀
