Republicans should not support this proposal by Rep. Don Bacon 🇺🇸✈️🏍️⭐️🎖️. Here’s his plan: - Allow all Biden spending through January 11 - More $ for Ukraine - Disaster relief - More $ to process illegals into America masquerading as “border security” This is Washington as usual, and we...

‼️BACON: Russia is bombing Ukrainian cities every night with ballistic missiles and hypersonic missiles, and we better be there to help them, or in the history books it's gonna say, "United States failed when it's most needed." “Are we gonna stand with good, or are we gonna stand with evil? That's what this is about tonight. Ukraine is a democracy, it's a free market, it's rule of law. It's been invaded by a dictator who throws his enemies off of roofs, poisons his adversaries, and he attacked his neighbor that's four times smaller than Russia. What's the goal? To eliminate their independence, to eliminate them as a culture, as a people, 'cause he wants to control those old borders of his that he has had. We gotta stand for the good side tonight. What does this bill do? It provides $1.3 billion in direct military aid, and $8 billion in military sales, and provides tough sanctions on Russia. We should have done this a year ago. We could have done this in a bipartisan way year ago, but we have not. This decision is needed now. Russia is bombing Ukrainian cities every night with ballistic missiles and hypersonic missiles, and we better be there to help them, or in the history books it's gonna say, "United States failed when it's most needed." And I know this, I want this House to stand on the right side. I want Republicans to stand where Ronald Reagan would be if he was here right now. Ronald Reagan would be voting yes tonight. He'd be standing up for Ukraine and opposing Russia. This is our Churchill moment or our Chamberlain moment, and by God, I'm gonna choose Churchill, and this House better choose Churchill tonight. With that, I yield” - Rep. Don Bacon 🇺🇸✈️🏍️⭐️🎖️ on Thursday, June 4th, 2026

🇺🇦🇺🇸@SecDef Pete Hegseth outlined U.S. defense policy towards Ukraine: "We want, like you, a sovereign and prosperous Ukraine. But we must start by recognizing that returning to Ukraine's pre-2014 borders is an unrealistic objective. Chasing this illusionary goal will only prolong the war and cause more suffering. A durable peace for Ukraine must include robust security guarantees to ensure that the war will not begin again. This must not be Minsk 3.0. That said, the United States does not believe that NATO membership for Ukraine is a realistic outcome of a negotiated settlement. Instead, any security guarantee must be backed by capable European and non-European troops. If these troops are deployed as peacekeepers to Ukraine, at any point, they should be deployed as part of a non-NATO mission, and they should not be covered under Article Five. There also must be robust international oversight of the line of contact. To be clear: as part of any security guarantee, there will not be US troops deployed to Ukraine. To further enable effective diplomacy and drive down energy prices that fund the Russian war machine, President Trump is unleashing American energy production and encouraging other nations to do the same. Lower energy prices, coupled with more effective enforcement of energy sanctions will help bring Russia to the table. Safeguarding European security must be an imperative for European members of NATO as part of this Europe must provide the overwhelming share of future lethal and non-lethal aid to Ukraine. Members of this contact group must meet the moment. "
