TROOPS OF OPERATION HADIN KAI RESCUE ABDUCTED NECO CANDIDATES IN LASSA, INTENSIFY SEARCH FOR REMAINING VICTIM Troops of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) have rescued 10 National Examinations Council (NECO) candidates and teachers abducted during an ISWAP attack on Lassa Community in Askira Uba Local Government Area of Borno State. The attack occurred at about 9:00 a.m. on Monday, 29 June 2026, while students were writing their examinations at the Technical Secondary School. Following the incident, the Theatre Command immediately deployed troops alongside strike and Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) aircraft from the Air Component of OPHK to support a coordinated search and rescue operation. Guided by aerial surveillance, troops made contact with the terrorists around Daggu, leading to a fierce firefight that resulted in the rescue of the 10 victims, all of whom were unharmed and are receiving appropriate care. Troops outmanoeuvred the fleeing terrorists, inflicted casualties on them and captured seven motorcycles, significantly disrupting their escape. Efforts are ongoing to rescue the remaining victim. Sadly, one OPHK soldier and a member of the Civilian Joint Task Force paid the supreme sacrifice during the operation. Operation HADIN KAI, in collaboration with other security agencies and stakeholders, has intensified operations against the terrorists while reinforcing security around vulnerable communities and schools to prevent similar attacks. The military described the incident as another desperate attempt by terrorist groups under sustained pressure to target soft targets but reaffirmed its commitment to dismantling terrorist networks and restoring lasting peace across the North-East. Members of the public are urged to remain vigilant, provide credible information to security agencies and rely only on official updates regarding the incident.

I am crying from frustration how helpless are we as a nation? We earn billions of rupees every year from these magnificent mountains yet Pakistan still does not have a properly equipped dedicated high altitude search and rescue system. As a result we have lost far too many heroes in these mountains. Had Pakistan possessed a specialised high altitude rescue system perhaps Murad Sadpara could have been saved, Muhammad Ali Sadpara could have been rescued, and many other lives could have been saved through timely intervention. Yet we still do not know when our policymakers will finally establish a professional fully equipped high altitude rescue service. Look carefully at this video. Normally porters do not go beyond the advanced camps or even Camp 1. Yet these young courageous local heroes pushed themselves into an extremely dangerous area. They had no idea that they would find Sohail Sakhi’s body there. Perhaps somewhere his elderly mother had been praying Ya Allah at least let us find my Sohail’s body and bring him home. These young men had virtually no specialised rescue equipment. They had little more than an ice hammer. Using it they painstakingly dug through the deep snow and ice covering the body. Then they saw the beard and realised This is "Sohail" What followed was nearly three hours of relentless physical effort. This was not a commercial rescue operation. There was no financial reward waiting for them. It was a voluntary act of courage humanity and brotherhood They finally recovered Sohail’s body moved it to a safer location ice cave and subsequently brought him down to Broad Peak Base Camp These three young men did what a professional rescue system should have been equipped and trained to do. They are not merely porters. They are the unsung heroes of the Karakoram. Shehbaz Sharif

VICTIM RESCUED AFTER 7-HOUR TECHNICAL CLIFF RESCUE AT DEAD MAN’S POINT SAN FRANCISCO, CA – The San Francisco Fire Department has completed a 7-hour technical cliff rescue at Dead Man’s Point in Land’s End, Presidio. As a United States Coast Guard helicopter arrived, dense fog returned, making air rescue unsafe. With the cliff perch becoming increasingly unstable, SFFD rescue technicians developed a controlled plan with the victim in mind. The victim slid down the cliff face in a controlled descent and landed on the shoreline sustaining minor injuries. SFFD rescue swimmers were staged in the water and immediately assisted the adult victim through heavy surf to a waiting SFFD rescue boat. Rescue swimmer Paramedics evaluated and treated the victim who was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. One SFFD rescue swimmer sustained minor, non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to the emergency room. The firefighter is expected to make a full recovery. This rescue was conducted in extreme terrain and severe weather. Crews faced: - Steep cliffside terrain with loose, unstable rock - Unstable cliffside/perch that deteriorated during the operation, creating a fall hazard for the victim and rescuers - Dense fog and changing weather that reduced visibility to near zero and repeatedly grounded air operations - Heavy brush limiting access and anchor points - Challenging surf conditions on the shoreline during extraction SFFD thanks all partner agencies for their support during this complex incident: San Francisco Police Department drone unit, United States Park Police, United States Coast Guard, and all collaborating agencies.

Exploring Broad Peak: The Mighty Breithorn of Baltistan! 🏔️ Rising deep within the Karakoram range, Broad Peak stands at 8,051 metres (26,414 feet). It is the world’s 12th-highest mountain, famous for its massive summit ridge that stretches over 1.5 kilometers wide. The journey to its summit is a legendary test. Climbers must navigate steep snow slopes, unstable ice falls, and a highly exposed rocky crest leading to the true apex. The prize is reaching the peak’s highest point, offering sweeping views of the entire Godwin-Austen Glacier and K2 right opposite. How to Reach: Drive from Islamabad to Skardu, then take a 4x4 jeep to Askole. From there, embark on a multi-day alpine trek along the Baltoro Glacier via Concordia to reach Broad Peak Base Camp. Best Time to Visit: June to August! This summer window provides viable mountaineering weather. Because the peak receives extreme winter jet streams, sub-zero temperatures, and unpredictable blizzards, winter expeditions are rarely successful. Stay Options: Expedition tents and high-altitude wilderness camps. Stay at established hotels in Skardu or Shigar before heading out. On the mountain, overnight stays require setting up tactical alpine camps across the rugged glacier terrain. Name Meaning: The name is a direct translation of “Faichan Kangri,” given by early Western explorers due to its immensely wide, flat summit ridge that resembles the Breithorn mountain in Europe. Location: Broad Peak, Karakoram Range, Shigar District, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan #BroadPeak #Karakoram #Mountaineering #PakistanPeaks #GilgitBaltistan

ORIRE RESCUE: These details coming from Nigerian Army too Loud!😳 We opted to use ground operation to rescue the abducted schoolchildren children because the aircrafts and drones we used during our rescue operation couldn't locate the abducted schoolchildren and teachers because if you're under that place, you can't even see rays of sunlight. During one of the operations, we lost two soldiers, and some others were wounded. One of them has a broken arm due to a gunshot wound. I took over the operation, and we had assistance from the NSA Nuhu Ribadu, who sent in the National Counter-terrorism unit. We also had the Defence Headquarters special forces, the Nigerian Police, DSS, Nigerian Airforce team from Kanji, troops from Operation Savannah Shield from Kwara State that did a blocking from the Northern side of the state, local vigilantes and Amoteken. We lost some hunters, too. The operation was a complex one, and it lasted for over a month. We focused on identifying the terrorist kingpins that masterminded the abduction and then started cutting off their logistics and informants at the Old Oyo National Park and other parts of the country. We looked for other members of their team and members of their families in Adamawa, Kano, and different parts of the country and got them, and this put pressure on the terrorists. During the last phase of the operation, we blocked their major logistics hub in Ashamu, and it finally made them to willingly release the schoolchildren and teachers unconditionally, but we insisted that it was not about releasing but seeing to end of the terrorists operating in the region. - Major General Chinedu Nnebeufe, GOC, 2 Division, Nigerian Army Headquarters, gave details of how the abducted Oriire schoolchildren and teachers were rescued by security operatives.
