🚨 ANIMAL RESCUE ALERT! 🚨 There is an animal shelter in Clay County, Florida called Safe Animal Shelter SafeAnimalShelter that might close down because the road construction in the area has shut down the main road where people come in to adopt animals, make donations, and save the animals in the shelter. Safe Animal Shelter is the oldest “No Kill” animal shelter in Clay County, FL! The road closure is expected to last for 18 months!!!! This is terrible. The shelter relies on donations, and because the road is blocked, people can’t come in to make donations or adopt the animals, which has caused their donations to drop by 60%! After two days of exhaustion and hardship from being displaced from northern Gaza to the south, my wife and I managed to set up our new shelter and arranged it nicely, and now we are finally resting here in peace ❤️. This is about the 10th time we have been displaced. Each time we build a new shelter and start from zero but we are strong and will never give up. For anyone who cares about us and our lives, Yara, our children Imad and Adam, and me, leave a comment that makes us stronger and share this so the world can see us and know there are people here who deserve to live 💔. Ernesto’s sanctuary was born in Aleppo 9 years ago, and today we went back to Aleppo to help this American lady and another animal shelter that is in the middle of the fighting. We took away with their permission the animals that were injured, we brought the aid that we could with our budget and we came back! Here in Syria we will not eat the cake tonight to celebrate the ninth year because we are physically and emotionally very tired. Luna and I hitched a ride from Knoxville, TN to the Veteran owned Statesville I-77 RV Park where dozens of #Helene survivors have found shelter. Holly L who is the manager of the park gave us a little tour today on her day off. EmergencyRV and our RV donors have gifted multiple RVs at this safe haven of survivors and families who are healing their shared Helene trauma. The most basic human needs include safety (shelter), love and belonging, community, being kind and receiving kindness among others. These families are finding it here. Sharing a short video of some of their stories and a look into the shelter we have provided them at the RV park. All photos and information used with permission of the recipients. If you have ever needed a reason to donate your RV in good working order for the full appraised value as a tax donation. Or, if you want to get together with friends/family in your community and buy an RV to provide a family, now's the time. Matt Damon participated in Howard Zinn's great "The People Speak" series, and read out a great speech by Zinn about the importance of civil disobedience, which is as apt today as when he first wrote it in 1970: "I start from the supposition that the world is topsy-turvy, that things are all wrong, that the wrong people are in jail, and the wrong people are out of jail. That the wrong people are in power, and the wrong people are out of power. I start from the supposition that all we have to do is think about the state of the world today, and realize that things are all upside down. If you don't think, if you listen to TV, read scholarly things, you actually begin to think that things are not so bad. Or that just little things are wrong. But you have to get a little detached, and then come back and look at the world, and you are horrified. So we have to start from that supposition—that things are really topsy-turvy. And our topic is topsy-turvy: civil disobedience. As soon as you say the topic is civil disobedience, you are saying our problem is civil disobedience. That is not our problem…. Our problem is civil obedience. Our problem is the numbers of people all over the world who have obeyed the dictates of the leaders of their government and have gone to war, and millions have been killed because of this obedience. There is talk about domesticated food animals soon being vaccinated with #mRNA. We want our customers to know that we will not vaccinate our animals with #mRNAvaccines. We believe there is a time and place for vaccinations, but they must be used sparingly. If livestock are raised in an environment where they can express their natural instincts, they probably won't need many (if any) vaccines. We hope to one day move away from all vaccines on our farm- we are close, but not there yet. Everyone should know that over 80% of the antibiotics produced today are consumed by domesticated food animals. You read that right, even considering all of the antibiotics humans are prescribed, it's not even 20% of what's produced goes to people-the rest administered to food animals. It would only make sense that in order for vaccine companies to move from "very profitable" to "obscenely profitable" would be to capture the animal agriculture market. I'm not sure that this would ever pass legislation, but law or not, Big Ag is highly influenced by Big Pharma. The multinational meat companies would certainly choose to mandate this if there was an opportunity for a shared profit. In closing, please know: We don't believe in a blanket, one-size-fits-all approach to our health or our livestock. We will not add vaccinations for our livestock- we are moving in the other direction hoping to give fewer. (And, we already give very few). If this is adopted and there is a "panic" for food from livestock that hasn't had the MRNA vaccine, we will choose to honor the demand from our loyalty members and employees first. If you are not a part of that group, we cannot guarantee we will have any product for you. We are certainly not trying to promote panic- but, we do intend to notify our customers of how we will operate in times of growing demand. We screwed up during the pandemic- we won't do that again.

We are so proud of Ernestos today. Our team have worked so hard in Aleppo. The reception from the people of Aleppo was heart warming and the numbers of animals we helped was just fantastic. We want to help more - but for this we also need your help. The amount of vaccines and medicines and food and anaesthetic we are going to need is immense. So we are opening a fundraiser on our website - - where you can buy a vaccine for just 10 euros and we have increased our Justgiving fundraiser for the same reason. 10 euros is such a tiny price to protect a cat or dog from dangerous viruses. Please will you help us to help more animals? Life has been very bad to them over the last years. Let's now show them the kindness of Ernestos and our amazing supporters.

This is an impossible situation that our city is presently being put in, and at the same time we are trying to find a way forward to keep people safe, to protect our neighbors, to maintain order. We're in a position right now where we have residents that are asking the very limited number of police officers to fight ICE agents on the street, to stand by their neighbors. We cannot be at a place right now in America where we have two governmental agencies that are literally fighting one another. We are put in this position because we have approximately 600 police officers in Minneapolis -- far fewer that are able to work at any given time. And there are approximately 3,000 ICE agents in the area."
