We asked Jennifer Lin (AUG Tx) about FDA approval for new drugs. AUG Tx gives patients with rare diseases accelerated access to new cures with clear indications of efficacy. "At the end of the day, the FDA is a group of people trying their best to approve drugs that work, and reject drugs with safety issues or are placebos." "For rare diseases, it's easier to get a drug approved as you're often up against placebo or historical controls, because there's usually no approved treatment for these specific diseases." "For popular diseases like cancer, there are already so many drugs that are approved and effective. You have to run really long trials against drugs that work, which are also very expensive."

Here is an excellent conversation of Dr. Scott Gottlieb, MD 🇺🇸 - the former FDA commissioner with Squawk Box’s Becky Quick, in which Dr. Gottlieb discuss the ongoing clinical research & the regulatory efforts made by the FDA in order to find cures for more than 10,000 different rare genetic diseases which affects the lives of more the 30 million Americans and of many millions more worldwide. A very interesting part of this discussion is Dr. Gottlieb’s description of the huge progress made over the past few years in the Gene Therapy and Gene Editing field - including the use of Base Gene Editing by $BEAM and $VERV. Dr. Gottlieb also wonderfully explains - in laymen’s terms the difference between the different genetic delivery modalities such as AAVs and LNPs. Judge Gassia Apkarian alleged that the ads were misleading because they led the public “into believing donations aid underprivileged children in California.” “…the funds primarily support a separate organization benefiting specific families in New York, New Jersey, and abroad based on religious affiliation,” the judge said. Dr Tinashe Hofisi, a Zimbabwean human rights lawyer and legal scholar currently serving as a Research Fellow at the Karsh Institute of Democracy at the University of Virginia, recently joined an interesting debate on Constitutional Amendment Bill N0.3 with Professor Jonathan Moyo. The debate was organised by the Southern African Times and run in full by The NewsHawks. Hofisi's work primarily focuses on constitutional law, judicial design, and enforcement of human rights in Africa. He is currently a Research Fellow at the University of Virginia School of Law and the Karsh Institute of Democracy. Previously, he was a Hauser Global Fellow at New York University. Before his academic career in the United States, Hofisi spent seven years as a human rights lawyer with Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights, specialising in constitutional litigation.

Anna-Maria has been singing in churches and various venues in Ukraine and abroad to raise money for the army since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
