The facts - breastfeeding one child for 12 months reduces your lifetime risk of breast cancer by 4% That’s a drop from 17% to 16.4% - so the actual impact is small. Lobular Cancer is the 2nd most common type of breast cancer, but currently has no specific treatment. After meeting my constituent Katie over the summer and learning more about this type of cancer, I have been working with Dr Susan Michaelis at the Lobular Moonshot Project to campaign for funding to create a dedicated research stream for Lobular Cancer. Today, during PMQs, I asked the Prime Minister if he would meet me and Susan to discuss how the Government can help us save more lives from breast cancer.
