One Nation, One School. That’s the demand this young woman just made at Jantar Mantar — and it’s the most honest thing said in this entire “Remove Reservation” circus. She didn’t beg. She didn’t shout slogans. She simply asked: “Will the Prime Minister’s son, the sanitation worker’s son, and Ambani’s child all study in the SAME school? Then we can talk about talent.” Why not? Because the real reservation in this country is not SC/ST/OBC seats. The real reservation is quality education reserved only for those who can pay. Elite private schools and international boards for one India. Government schools without benches, without teachers, without toilets for the other India. You want “merit”? First put every child in the same classroom. Same books. Same teacher. Same mid-day meal. Same future. Until that happens, talking about “talent” while your kids sit in air-conditioned classrooms and theirs sit on the floor is not merit. It’s privilege dressed as principle. This video is from Vasai–Virar. People are walking through floodwaters to reach home because there is simply no other way. For the last four days, the area has been in complete darkness. Four feet of floodwater. No electricity. No mobile network. Transport has come to a standstill. Thousands of families are still trapped inside their own homes. This is the reality of one of the country's largest urban regions, just an hour or two from Mumbai, where millions of people have been affected. Four days without electricity. Homes under water. Millions affected. Yet, the biggest concern for some is that speaking about it might "defame" Maharashtra.

These days, some people at Jantar Mantar are protesting to end reservation because they believe casteism no longer exists. But reality cannot be hidden. Most of the videos coming out of this Reservation Hatao Andolan are revealing the true colours of the casteist people gathered there. Anyone with even a basic sense of caste consciousness would condemn the hostility directed at fellow countrymen over reservations. The very foundation of our Constitution was meant to guarantee dignity and freedom from the old social order. Yet if that foundation has been mocked and undermined for 80 years of independence, it sets a dangerous precedent one where the republic’s founding promise is treated as negotiable. What surprises me is this: many of my fellow SC, ST, and OBC individuals who found themselves sympathetic to Hindutva politics, and who even amplified its narratives, seemed to feel nothing during the “Reservation Hatao” movement. Perhaps because they believe casteism only exists in “small, underdeveloped, uneducated villages” — never in their own circles. But you have been insulted, mocked, and ridiculed simply for existing. So look around you now. Look at who follows and supports RHA’s handle. It’s time to introspect. Jai Bhim.

You have a First Amendment right to record federal agents performing their duties in public, as long as you do not physically interfere. 2. You can use profanities against ICE. Profanity alone is protected speech under the First Amendment. Speech does not become illegal simply because it is offensive. It becomes unlawful only if it constitutes a true threat, incitement, or physical obstruction. What is illegal: 1. ICE cannot stop and detain people based on race. The Fourth Amendment prohibits unreasonable searches and seizures. The Fifth Amendment’s equal protection component prohibits racial profiling by federal officers. Detaining someone solely because they are Latino or appear to be Latino is unconstitutional. 2. ICE cannot point weapons to intimidate the public without an objectively reasonable belief of an immediate safety threat. Drawing or pointing firearms, pepper ball guns, or chemical spray are uses of force. Under the Supreme Court standard in Graham v. Connor, force must be “objectively reasonable” based on the totality of the circumstances. Somalians are Africans. Yet in this video, American President Donald Trump labels them “stupid” and “low IQ”. That is not just an insult to one nation, it is an insult to an entire continent, to our dignity, our history, and our humanity. You would never see Europeans applauding a foreign leader who calls them stupid or inferior. Imagine the global outrage if an African leader stood on a platform and declared that an entire European nation was “low IQ” and “stupid”. There would be diplomatic backlash, wall to wall media condemnation, and calls for accountability. The same applies to Arabs and Asians, there is a line of dignity that is defended fiercely when it is crossed. But when it comes to Africans, something deeply troubling happens. We have Africans who will defend, excuse, and even celebrate this man who openly demeans them. It is not normal, it is a crisis of self worth. Because at some point, we must confront an uncomfortable truth. What does it say about us when we rally behind someone who insults our intelligence and our identity? What does it say when we defend him, and attack our own people on his behalf? This is not about politics. It is about dignity and self worth of ourselves as Africans. It is about whether we see ourselves as equal human beings deserving of respect. Supporting someone who calls you “stupid” and “low IQ” is not loyalty, it is idiotic submission. It is internalised contempt for yourself. And perhaps the most painful part is this, that in defending him, some end up reinforcing the very stereotype he projects. Not because it is true, but because choosing to support your own humiliation is the clearest abandonment of self respect. Africans must decide who they are. A people who demand dignity, or a people who defend those who strip it away. You cannot defend a man who calls you stupid without proving his point.

Because they disagreed politically. A senator. An elected representative. Using her office to punish a small business owner whose only crime was having a different political opinion.
