Now I really wish Resident Evil had anime graphics based on its early 2D artwork, because this looks good. Hell, because of it's more stylized art direction, I'd argue this one visually aged a lot better than the Resident Evil PSone games.

That opening door animation to hide the load screen really was genius of Capcom.

People these days turn their nose up at tank controls and pre-rendered backgrounds but back in the day it was considered so good it was worth cloning like a dozen times.

Ironically, Rebecca's voice actress from RE1 (Lynn Eve Harris) worked on this game.
