I worked at a warehouse next to the Air Force base at PIT airport. Every night at 9pm, everyone stopped for Taps ❤️🇺🇸

Loved how everyone stopped what they were doing

I’m grateful for the respect some citizens still have for our country

And most people have no idea

Every time I hear that, I get goosebumps! 🇺🇸

Respect - something sorely lacking in our society today

I remember in the mid-late ‘60s while Daddy (RIP) was stationed at Ft. Eustis, VA…when we were on base, “Taps” was played. We would stop, Daddy would get out of the car, stand at attention, and salute. This was before he was sent to Vietnam. SO many memories. #Army 🪖🫡🇺🇸

Every single time I hear Taps my eyes well with tears while my heart fills with immense pride and immense sadness all at the same time🇺🇸 God bless our military
