Do most dads really comprehend just how important they are? 👀👀 Kids who don't grow up with their dad present in their home have a much more difficult time in many areas of their lives. A father’s presence can mean a lot more than simply being under the same roof. Children need someone who's willing to teach them, correct them, encourage them, and hold them accountable when they make the wrong choice. Discipline is a big part of that. Real discipline isn’t about being harsh or intimidating. It’s about teaching children that actions have consequences, that rules matter, and that doing the right thing sometimes means doing something you don’t feel like doing. A present father has countless opportunities to reinforce those lessons in everyday life. Kids will test boundaries. They'll make excuses, push limits, lose their temper, and make mistakes. That’s part of growing up. What matters is having parents who are willing to step in, set boundaries, and patiently teach them better. A father who is consistently present also gets to know his children well enough to understand when they need correction and when they simply need encouragement. He can model self control, responsibility, hard work, and keeping your word instead of merely telling his kids about those things.
