To the greatest of all time Fun fact, the Hulkster spoke a bit of Japanese. I knew he wrestled and trained over there. When I talked to him about where he lived in Japan he told me with zero accent. So I asked him in Japanese if he could tell me a funny story. He answered in English but he said yeah brother I got loads of good stories from over there. Then he gave me a hilarious story about Andre the giant taking a dump on newspapers in his hotel because he was too big to get inside the bathroom! He at least knew japanese well enough to know what i asked him but would answer in English with a few Japanese words thrown in like Yabai, which is slang. As if the man could get any cooler. He was gonna let me lift with him and I had to check to see if he thought I was someone else because his restauraunt was under renovation and I thought he thought I was one of the workers. Nah, he was just that friendly. He was signing belts and talking to me like we'd known each other for years. This was 2019.

I recall some years ago, he spoke about how much he wanted to please his father on Steven Bartlett Diary of a CEO podcast. Everything he aimed to achieve was to please the voice that rang in his head, telling him to do it better. His father stood behind him while he built a career, probably saw the good many never saw. As a father, he also mentioned how COVID-19 changed his life. It was the point he chose his family. That was probably why he said at some point, he became a guest in his house. He said there was a point he went into his daughter(s) room and asked when they painted the wall pink. His wife told him it’s been there for two years. He said that was the point he thought it important to rest on the tours and be with his children. At that point, he probably was a guest in his house. Men’s lives are not easy. Footballers especially — elite footballers most especially are like tour musicians. They’re often on the road. You’re playing away games round the country, spending three days or more away from home when you have continental away games. Gabriel Jesus spoke about the same thing in his recent interview with The Players’ Tribune titled “A Letter to My Family and my Arsenal Family”. He said football made him distant but his ACL injury brought him closer. “I wasn’t the husband and father that I needed to be,” he said. When his wife gave birth to his daughter, he said he only held her for one day. Brazil called and he had to go. And he was a guy who grew up without a father. For his child at the time, he was there now but wasn’t there too. “I always promised myself: When I become a father, I will always be there for my kids. “When Helena was born, I was not living up to that. I was there, but I was always distracted, you know? Always catching a flight.” That’s the tough decisions men have to make sometimes. For anyone saying Khamzat's style is boring... Have you watched his fights? When was the last time he was in a 'boring' fight? He went in there and had the most dominant performance, ever, from a challenger. Dricus gave him no reason to change the game plan. And props to DDP. He never quit. He was just outmatched on the night. I believe Dricus when he says he's gonna come back better.

“I was the number one player in the country my senior year but I knew when I got drafted I was number 450” LeBron talking about his mindset early on in his NBA career on Mind the Game Fun fact: I was actually a fan of LeBron early on his career, he stepped into a team full of jealous teammates and he still shined. He worked his butt off to prove he belonged in the NBA and was deserving of the early high school media praise he got. He came from a single mother home but had a humility and maturity to him that made you want to cheer for him. This podcast reminded me he ONCE had a fire and mindset that was admirable. Sadly, he went away from this humble mindset when he went to Miami and then went on a run of making super team moves. Becoming very unlikable.. Complaining about lack of talent, making excuses, being a victim, ect
