The club should've done MORE to honour one of Liverpool's all-time greats when he was still alive instead of letting the Geordies hijack the great man. Time to make amends now and provide a lasting tribute to King Kev - he helped make LFC the club it is today under Bill & Bob!

Kevin Keegan was not just a Liverpool great; he was a football great. He was my first football crush, and I was inconsolable when he announced he was leaving for Hamburg. I still remember going to Anfield to watch Keegan and Toshack terrorise opposition defences. RIP #YNWA❤️

My Dad took me to the Liverpool/Man United game just before the Cup Final of 77. My Dad perched me on the wall of the Anny road end and Keegan and Stuart Pearson tackling went off the pitch and knocked me backwards into the Anfield road. I was 8,I still remember it 58 years later

A lad in school called Dave Roberts, even though Kevin Keegan had left, would regularly randomly leap in the air, head an imaginary ball and in a David Coleman voice shout “Keegan!!3-1!!”. It hurt when KK left but how we fucking loved him. Gutted today. Rest easy, superstar.

So another part of my childhood passes. Supported liverpool since 71. Kevin keegan was the first big king of the Kop, a legend, in a side growing to be unbeatable. Thanks kev for the happiness you gave us liverpool fans. God bless your soul, back with the boss and Emlyn for that big reunion. YNWA

As a Man City fan we played Southampton 1st game of the season away and KK was making his debut for them. On the train on the way down to the game there were at least 30 Liverpool fans going to watch him make his debut. RIP Kevin a true legend.
