Interacted with senior officers of the Indian Foreign Service participating in the IFS Mid-Career Training Programme-III and discussed India’s energy security and energy diplomacy. As the India Growth Story resonates across the world, India is not merely a participant in the global energy landscape but is increasingly shaping it as the world’s third-largest consumer of energy and oil, third-largest refiner and fourth-largest LNG importer. India’s energy demand is expected to grow 2.5 times by 2047, accounting for around 25% of incremental global demand. Over the past decade, transformative reforms under the leadership of PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji have strengthened domestic capabilities, diversified energy sources, deepened strategic partnerships and accelerated our transition towards cleaner energy. The recently launched Samudra Manthan, with an outlay of over ₹84,000 crore up to FY 2030-31, is a major push to unlock India’s offshore hydrocarbon potential, including opening nearly 1 million sq. km of previously designated “No-Go” areas for exploration. It will strengthen domestic E&P and contribute to reducing import dependence. At the heart of India’s energy strategy is the ability to balance the trilemma of availability, affordability and sustainability despite the geopolitical disruptions. Our diplomats play a vital role in this endeavour towards securing supplies, safeguarding national interests, building resilient partnerships and creating the global conditions for India to grow with confidence. India’s energy diplomacy under PM Modi Ji is ultimately about securing the energy for our growth while shaping a more resilient and sustainable global energy future. INDIAN ARMY RESTORES VITAL ROAD CONNECTIVITY IN RAMBAN WITH LAUNCH OF 150-FOOT REINFORCED MAITRA BRIDGE Due to recent incessant rainfall in Ramban district, a vital stretch of the Karol–Maitra Road, an important artery connecting Ramban district with mainland was washed away. This road is critical for linking government establishments and villages and its loss disrupted daily life, stranding locals and vehicles. The District Administration requested assistance from the Indian Army for urgent restoration of connectivity. The washed-away site was located nearly 20 metres above the Chenab River under unstable cliffs. Accordingly, a team from the White Knight Engineers was deployed and they executed the launch of a 150-Foot Triple Panel Double Storey Extra Wide Reinforced Bailey Bridge, designed to ensure heavy traffic bearing capacity. BRO, NHAI, District Administration & Police Department Ramban and other civilian agencies assisted in early execution of task. In addition to it, the Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief operations under the project #HumAapkeSaathHain continued in the region covering Kishtwar, Doda, Ramban, Udhampur, Reasi, Akhnoor, Rajouri and Poonch districts, providing timely relief to people affected by torrid rains, landslides and flash floods. More than 5000 people were provided relief and number of Medical Camps were organised at remote villages to provide necessary medical aid. These sustained efforts including construction of the bridge provided timely medical, veterinary and food supply across remote locations, which showcased that Indian Army stands shoulder to shoulder with the people it serves. Each bridge rebuilt, each camp conducted, each family helped, strengthened the bond of faith and confidence between the Armed Forces and local communities.

🏗️ A major engineering milestone for Mumbai Metro Line 2B! MMRDA has successfully lifted and installed the first 70-tonne back-span pier segment of the Bandra Railway Over Bridge, marking the start of steel superstructure work on one of Mumbai’s most challenging cable-stayed bridges. The 200-metre bridge is being built across the Western Express Highway and Western Railway corridor near Bandra Railway Station — one of Mumbai’s busiest and most complex transport environments. The cable-stayed structure comprises: 🔹 A 104-metre main span, supported by back spans of 43 metres and 53 metres 🔹 49 composite steel segments, including 24 across the back spans and 25 across the main span 🔹 Two 20.1-metre-high pylons, with four of six casting lifts already completed at both locations 🔹 The entire substructure completed, including foundations and piers With the first 70-tonne segment successfully installed, work can now move ahead on the next stage of the steel superstructure. What makes this feat even more significant is where it is being built: across a live railway corridor and one of Mumbai’s busiest highways, with rail and road traffic continuing uninterrupted. A big thank you to the engineers, workers and teams on the ground whose planning, precision and commitment to safety have made this possible. 🙌 This milestone takes Metro Line 2B, Mumbai’s vital East–West connector from DN Nagar to Maharashtra Nagar–Mandale, another step closer to completion. Once fully operational, Line 2B will cut travel time by up to 75%, help reduce congestion and pollution, and connect seamlessly with four Metro lines, the Monorail, and both Central and Western Railway. Another span in place. Another connection closer to reality. This is the #MumbaiInMinutes vision — taking shape, span by span. #MMRDA #MumbaiMetro #MahaMumbaiMetro #MetroLine2B #MumbaiInfrastructure #Engineering #ReimaginingMMR #ReshapingMMR #RebootingMumbai CMO Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis Eknath Shinde - एकनाथ शिंदे Dr. Sanjay Mukherjee Maha Mumbai Metro Operation Corporation Ltd MAHARASHTRA DGIPR PIB India PIB in Maharashtra 🇮🇳

A Historic Milestone for Maharashtra’s Growth: Inauguration of Navi Mumbai International Airport ✈️ A moment of immense pride for Maharashtra as the Navi Mumbai International Airport was inaugurated today at the hands of Hon Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji. Under the visionary leadership of Hon PM Narendra Modi Ji, the dream we envisioned a decade ago has now turned into reality. The airport stands as a symbol of Nava Bharat, of progress, resilience, and renewed ambition. Conceived in the 1990s, this project had remained stalled for years. Once PM Modi Ji’s government took office, it was fast-tracked under the PRAGATI portal, and in its very first meeting, all eight pending NOCs were approved, paving the way for this world-class engineering marvel capable of handling 9 crore passengers annually. This airport will play a pivotal role in Maharashtra’s and India’s growth, with the potential to boost the state’s GDP by 1%. Alongside, the inauguration of Mumbai Metro Line 3 (Phase 2B), from Acharya Atre Chowk to Cuffe Parade, marks another proud achievement. This largest underground metro in India, developed with support from the Government of Japan and JICA, will significantly enhance Mumbai’s connectivity. In line with PM Modi Ji’s vision for integrated and seamless transport, the ‘Mumbai One’ app was also launched today. This unified platform enables commuters to travel across Metro, Monorail, Bus, Suburban Rail, and Water Taxi networks with a single ticket, transforming mobility across Mumbai. A defining day that reaffirms Maharashtra’s journey toward a Viksit Bharat, powered by world-class infrastructure and visionary leadership. Hon Governor Acharya Devvrat ji, Union Minister Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu ji, DCM Eknath Shinde ji, DCM Ajitdada Pawar, Union MoS Murlidhar Mohol and other dignitaries were present.
