The society we abuse today will eventually take its toll on our children, because they will only learn by our example. Everything we are experiencing in our country today is a reflection of the decay of civility and orderliness. When we choose to conduct both our public and personal lives with bad behaviour and rascality, we normalise bad behaviour, lawlessness, and criminality. I watched a heartbreaking video that showed students in Auchi Polytechnic in Edo State running for their lives as they were being shot at during their student election yesterday which left 2 students dead and several injured. The question is: Where did they learn it from? Are they cursed, or are we the political leaders who are cursed? When we have chosen to "fight, snatch it, grab it, and run with it" how can we expect our children to do it rightly and democratically when they have learned from us? This is not just disgraceful, it’s a national indictment. When we, the leaders, have chosen to fight, snatch, grab and run with it, our children have learned similar and rascality is now a normal situation. It is now up to us, the leaders, to learn how to restore civility, order, and core values in our society by ensuring that our character and behaviour reflect the change we seek in our society. We must do better, for our students, for our children, and for our country. A New Nigeria is POssible. -PO

In his big foreign policy speech on Thursday, Pierre laid out how Canada and the US became economically complacent. In Canada's case, we became too comfortable with our wealth and decided to kneecap our major industries as a form of virtue signalling, expecting that our good trade relationship with the US would keep us wealthy. In America, they allowed their industrial base to get hollowed out by China, and before they knew it much of their economy was under the control of a hostile communist regime. The only way to make our two countries the wealthiest in the world once again is to work together and END our economic complacency. Do you agree with Pierre on this?

Fox News’ Rachel Campos-Duffy went on a crazed religious rant today, claiming that liberals only see Earth as the endgame while conservatives look beyond. She stated, “For them (liberals), where we live right now, this place, Earth is it. So everything’s on the line here for them. They think, as you said, they can perfect this Earth. Those of us who have faith don’t believe that, and we believe how we act here determines where we go after. And so we got to behave.” She also implied that liberals don’t live within moral limits and insinuated that liberals can’t be “Christians” or religious in any way. She then tried to equate religion with climate issues, seemingly implying that Conservatives don’t need to care about the planet because this isn’t their final destination. My opinion: #1) Religion shouldn’t make humanity neglect our planet. #2) There are plenty of liberal religious people. The majority of American Jews identify as liberal. A huge amount of Christians, Muslims, Hindus, etc. are liberal as well. What do you make of these comments? Agree or Disagree?

What a year it has been for us Sam Heughan! As we are heading towards the end of #MPC2023 and in honor of #GivingTuesday, we want to reflect on what a remarkable year it has been for all of the #Peaker community! Not only did our Peakers walk over 359,000,000 steps to the moon for the #MoonroStepChallenge in support of Blood Cancer UK but this year we partnered with Ocean Conservancy and collected 3,460.8 pounds/1,569.8 kilograms of trash from over 30 countries and 31 U.S. states while making better environmental changes in our daily lives. Together, we have raised a total of $515,161 bringing our total amount raised to date to a whopping: $7,430,896!!!!!! We couldn't have done this without our #Peakers supporting the incredible work of our charity partners. I just know that #MPC2024 is going to be OUR YEAR! Get ready, Peakers... you're in for a treat!

Friends, what an extraordinary week it’s been here in Rome. Every pontiff is from somewhere, and while I’m happily surprised that our Holy Father grew up in my hometown, at the end of the day, Pope Leo is for all 1.4 billion Catholics in the world. Please keep praying for him. Pray that he might have a unifying effect on the Church. And please pray for me and my team as we prepare to head back home.

He shares his insights “I had meetings with the White House and State Department, including conversations with President Donald Trump, Vice-President JD Vance, and Secretary of State Marco Rubio.” “What I found across the board was optimism about how we can move trade negotiations forward.” “Mexico — the third partner in our trilateral trade agreement with the U.S. — is further ahead in its engagement with the U.S. than Canada is.” This begs the question: is Carney purposely tanking trade talks with America to try to secure a majority? The Liberals were actively recruiting floor crossers, Carney’s speech at WEF was poking the bear, Carney borderline laughing at Jamil meeting with the Trump administration, not focusing on America and flying around the world, despite 80% of our exports going to the US. If it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, maybe it’s a duck. The Liberals are continuing to show signs that they have no interest in securing a deal & leveraging it for a majority.

Good morning and happy Thursday you lovely people! Now as we wake up and get ready feeling down about England. I wana take a moment out to say how proud we are as a country of our boys and how well our fans represented us. It’s gonna be a tough morning, but tough times don’t last tough people do. And I wanted to let you all know that you are ten times stronger than you can ever image just keep on going. It’s another busy day for me, and I’ll be working on seafood stall today once I’ve finished my work this morning. Have a blinder. Don’t go home until you are proud. Who likes my pony tail? 😂😂 Bosh❤️

Sunny Hostin, who once said she was more comfortable in Ghana than America, says she's "embarrassed" by the country as America nears 250 and calls it a "failed experiment" in self governance: SUNNY HOSTIN: And so I think we have a very complicated history here. I think it's a very complicated country. And at this point, I am embarrassed at our government. I'm embarrassed at our lack of healthcare. I'm embarrassed on the assault on the press. I'm embarrassed of our Congress. I'm embarrassed by the criminal felon president that is in the Oval Office that has a UFC cage on the White House lawn. HAINES: It's really American, Sunny. HOSTIN: I'm embarrassed about all those things. And I'm also embarrassed at how America is now seen across the globe. I don't think that many Americans understand that we are part of a wonderful global community. And when you look at our allies, our allies are now giving us a one-star rating as a country. While I am conflicted about this country because I feel that it is at this point a failed experiment, quite frankly. I am also discouraged by how this country is viewed by the rest of the world.

He is Risen: President Jeffrey R. Holland once called those words the three most hopeful words in scripture. I had an early witness of the Savior’s resurrection from my grandpa, Gordon Carlson, who had been a life mentor to me. While serving on my mission he recorded his testimony of the resurrection of the Savior on an Easter Sunday. By the time I received the recording, Grandpa had passed away. We now have a digital copy of that recording storied in FamilySearch for generations to come. It serves as a reminder not only that we will see Grandpa again—but that he had a testimony of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. As we prepare for Easter this year, may all of us remember that because of the love of the Savior, we will see our loved ones again. #GreaterLove

🛎 JUST IN: Catholic Americans Plead for Religious Freedom: Urging the US Bishops that serve on the Panel and the Trump Administration to Reinstate Carrie Prejean Boller to the Religious Liberty Commission 👇 ..................................................... Last week, Carrie Prejean Boller was removed from the White House’s Religious Liberty Commission for defending her beliefs as a Catholic. While affirming the natural right of Israel to exist, she correctly articulated that Zionism, the belief that we have a Biblical mandate to support the 1948 State of Israel is not a teaching of the Catholic Church. Furthermore, while all Catholics condemn anti-semitism, which is simply hatred of Jews, anti-zionism is NOT the same as anti-semitism. Catholics for Catholics 🇺🇲 is asking the Trump Administration for a confirmation of Carrie’s role on the commission. We make this urgent appeal in the name of religious freedom. Religious freedom, while not a moral license to adhere to error, is a natural inalienable right of the human person to act in conscience and freedom immune from external coercion in religious matter by individuals, or civil authorities. We are asking now that the Religious Liberty Commission respect the Religious Liberty of what Catholics believe. As Catholics we also make a special plea to the Catholic bishops who are on this panel: Cardinal Dolan Bishop Robert Barron Archbishop Salvatore J. Cordileone Bishop Thomas Paprocki and Bishop Kevin Rhoades. As the issue which caused the heated discussion resulting in Carrie's removal was theological in nature albeit with severe political consequences, all the more reason we are urging our Bishops, whose role it is to guide us in the Faith, to speak up in Carrie's defense. If we are wrong in our interpretation of the Catholic teaching on Zionism, then we’ll humbly accept their correction. We took the time to send each of these Bishops a private letter respectfully asking that they intercede.
