Yeah! I've been around the community for around 8 years now but the comp community dates all the way back to Battlefield 2, there are some really cool people and events held. You can see matches from 4v4 all the way to 32v32 lol although most common are 4v4, 5v5, 8v8, 16v16

@VolsiaFPS Zavod has only one flag that is a real pain—Flag A, where the underground area is. Otherwise, the whole game centers on the two warehouses in the middle. The night version of the map is great.

Battlefield has never had a good competitve scene The closest we got was the squad rush and tdm modes in BF3. Or incursions in BF1. All of which were quickly forgotten and pretty lackluster. BF doesn't need a competitive scene. 🤷🏾

Disagree. It's fun when casual players are competing for wins and stuff. But when you make it into a sport it loses its chill fun competitve vibe and become sweaty annoying and constant frames, pixels, nonsense. Just play the game and have fun. Peak BF and CoD were great 1/2

Before competive gaming forced devs to keep tweaking guns. Fixing exploits, making everything as even as possible. I miss it when you can cheese wins. When you can shit talk and just have fun. Now everything is ranked. You can't just sit back and play for fun no more

You can tho, there are casual modes within the game that exist aside from the competitive mode lol Esports and competitive doesn't interfere with that, especially nowadays where sbmm has such a huge factor in most games it will rarely ever impact you if you strictly q casual

Not really. Everyone now takes games way too seriously and makes every game way too sweaty. And developers now create games in that in mind. Which inherently makes games just boring to me Grind to ranked master to get a stupid skin. No thanks. I just wanna get high and play

Back when battlefield was made by a team who knew how to make a battlefield game. Now battlefield is being made by a different team and it shows.

In my opinion, what’s been killing BF since 2042 isn’t really crossplay, but what came with aim assist. The way it affects gunfights, tracking, and close-range fights just makes the game feel way less natural, especially for mouse and keyboard players.
