So let's talk about the team. Well as for me, I have worked on AR/VR fitness concepts for 10 years. Probably more than anyone in the world. @LIV - created the VR fitness content category @YURwellness - VR fitness analytics @REKfitness - VR sports concepts and MR games

Someone with hardware experience? Got it. @mentarus built Plexus. One of the original VR gloves and got into @YCombinator W18. He's also spent significant time prototyping minority report style interactions with computer vision, and custom 3D printed hardware.

Well now that we have the prototype we need to move it to manufacturing? Well we got that. @marcusckane has designed a diverse range of award-winning products, from consumer electronics to London's cycling solutions and luxury items from the worlds largest brands.

So why a headset? Here’s why: Hardware is very hard, but it’s also a moat. 1. Try to hand a middle age person a Quest and say “exercise in this” see how long it takes. 2. Sweat in your headset and then tell me you’re going to jump into a productivity app. Not happening.

Timing? Well if I pitched you to this 5 years ago you could slap me in the face. But now? We can do most of this with industrial re-design of existing hardware references. Just being hyper focused on specific use-cases, and do initial runs by 3D printing. Also it's sexy.

Business strategy? We will ship the gloves, then headset. Sell the headset at cost with a subscription for content. You'll be able to own part of the company with a community fund-raise. We will eventually open up the cameras on the headset too. 😉
