Reunited 50 years later 💙

The legacy of Harold Ballard lives on cheap bastard

Back in 2017 in Melbourne Australia i met Mr. Sittler at the #icehockeyclassic game where he was coach of the Canadian team (made up of ex nhl some current nhl and ahl players). Great to see this legend honoured today.

Legend if the gm wasn't Ballard him and Salming would have cups

No name on the back... Ballard wanted people to buy programs if they wanted to know the players' names. What a guy.

Might be too late but they should use this as an alternate jersey tonight!

Why does this team crap the bed on every special occasion and every big game? Is it some twisted corporate policy? I feel terrible for Darryl Sittler.

@MikeInBuffalo

It was authenticated by DNA testing a moustache hair on the jersey which proved to be Lanny MacDonald's.

my first Leaf game I ever watched and still bleed blue and white

Pretty cool. Oh and it’s called a sweater.

I remember that historic night like it was yesterday

ok so now the question is what happen to the entire game on tape ? who has it ? I have yet to see it in its entirety. I’ve watch so many games back from the same season all but this game is missing

I was 10 when this happened. I watched it at my friend’s house in the basement with him and his dad. They were both huge Leaf fans. Maple Leaf Gardens against the Bruins. Who knew that record would still stand 50 years later!

Class guy, congrats

Still no Cup. Sad.

Stitch that large C on Mathews jersey maybe he and the rest of the team wakes up show so pride

So cool 😎

Let's bring back those jerseys they are so clean and basic I love them
