Gukesh is just 18 and still more mature than 99% of the Americans.

It was a planned celebration that everyone around knew, including Gukesh. Get your facts checked. Hikaru is one of the most humble and respectful person out there

Props to Gukesh for winning, but it was all planned for entertainment. Hikaru even spoke to gukesh backstage to reassure him that there was no personal disrespect intended in the action. just wanted to provide context because these were the rules of the competition.

Chess is the pure gentleman man game 🎮 No aggression should be there. Chess community in india is the most respected community

It is not how you win, but what you do after you win that makes the difference. Not an astrologer, but Gukesh definitely has a strong Saturn ruling his chart. Keeps you grounded even in success and doesn't let it get in your head. 🪐

It was scripted that whoever wins in a mate will mess up the pieces, Hikaru suggested even more chaotic idea for entertainment purposes.

Nikhil.. hikaru hasn’t done it with any bad intentions.. itself organisers who clearly mentioned it to the players before the event started, even gukesh knows that and if gukesh wins in that particular game checkmating hikaru he should also do that.. as part of game and rules

@GMHikaru shame on you. You're not an entertainer but a chess player. It's a great game, pls respect.

Doesn't have the balls to even look at the camera, Hikaru went from most loved chess player to most hated for disrespecting others

Look at Gukesh humbleness after winning and compare it with Hikaru childishness

Champions prove themselves through performance, not social media narratives. The mental strength to recover from that opening loss and dominate the tournament speaks volumes. Let the board do the talking!

@MahiHerambha @GMHikaru threw away Gukesh's king into the crowd. This time Hiku lost and ran away after a perfunctory handshake. Gukesh stayed back, rearranged all pieces on the board including Hiku's and then left the stage.

Throwing was pre-planned and was given go ahead by both side before the match.

The throwing of king was a pre-planned gesture that whoever won that day would've done.

Throwing of the king was part of the planned celebration as it was an exhibition match. Hikaru doesn't do it in all the tournaments. Infact, among all the sports and games, I feel chess players are the one who celebrate in the most respectable way.

Why are you bringing shame to indians? It was a part of the rules RETARD, hikaru would have been subjected to the same treatment had he lost. He didn't decide to just do it on a whim. But enjoy your sigma, aura, badass edit I guess?
