Till this morning, there were talks between the DMK first family and EPS to explore the possibility of a DMK–ADMK coalition government. The person who was most interested was Durga Stalin. She always wanted to make her son the next Chief Minister. In fact, it was her long-standing wish to see her son becoming CM, hence all the temple visits. The deal that was being discussed was a 50:50 arrangement, where Udhayanidhi would be CM for 2½ years and EPS for the rest. Now you can decipher why EPS locked up his MLAs in some resort. He feared his MLAs might desert him, support Vijay, and form a TVK–ADMK coalition government instead. ADMK MLAs know very well that they have no future; hence, they felt Vijay could give them a lifeline. Isn’t EPS a scumbag? Edappadi Palaniswami becoming CM after Aadhav screwed Vijay? I just spoke to an IAS officer (our family friend) who is very close to the ADMK leadership. He says EPS is trying to become CM with the support of the DMK. All small parties in the alliance will get berths in the next cabinet. Another insight shared by him is that it was Aadhav Arjuna who forced Vijay to accept Congress support and go to the Governor. The experienced Sengottaiyan warned him, knowing the consequences, but he didn’t listen. Vijay paid a heavy price because of Aadhav Arjuna! Now, all TVK Vijay MLAs are threatening to resign if DMK and ADMK come together.

Not all of them are gonna work out, but the ones that will work out will go up hundreds and hundreds of percent. Yeah, well, EPs, yes. I mean, if it's a really good one, you can buy it, even if your stop is gonna be like, say, 1.5x the average true range, or ADR. Sometimes you kind of have to not chase it, but have a little bit of a wider stop, just because these things can make very big moves. I believe that is the limit and I don't want one more member from my family " The youth wing cadres and senior party members present in the meeting were in utter shock. Stalin was their nearperfect choice to lead the newly formed youth wing of DMK but Karunanidhi was very firm about not including another family member into the official ranks of the party. The meeting was inconclusive and no one was able to convince Karunanidhi about Stalin being a good choice to lead the youth DMK wing. A senior cadre K. Subbu stood up and put forward his opinion which was the opinion of almost all the youth wing cadres. He said “We are not asking Stalin to lead the youth DMK because he is Kalaignar's son. If we wanted Kalaignar's son to be the youth wing coordinator we would have asked for Muthu, Alagri, or Tamil Arasu but the majority of us want Stalin to be the coordinator. When the emergency was declared in 1976, Stalin was arrested and taken away from his home by the police. Karunanidhi should have stopped them and declared that Stalin was not an official member of the party but he did not do so. Eventually, Stalin had undergone numerous hardships during imprisonment for the sake of the party and that demonstrates his devotion to the party. “Hey, I’ve got a story for you. My coworker told me today about an incident that happened on March 28 (which, admittedly, she took far too long to mention). She ordered food and a coffee through Uber. When the driver arrived, security cameras captured him cleaning a spill from the coffee lid by licking it. He then blew his nose into a napkin and used that same napkin to wipe the lid, just seconds before handing it to her. Security stopped her from drinking it before it was too late. Looks like DMK is playing petty politics involving Vijay’s personal life! This post is not to defend Vijay or his actions but to underscore how politics turns dirty when leaders’ personal lives are dragged into the spotlight. For the first time, the entire ecosystem is attacking the main Opposition party – DMK! The endorsement of the good work being done by the TVK Party HQ government by Sridhar Vembu has completely shattered DMK and its support base. The icing on the cake was Sridhar Vembu calling out the nauseating and disgusting levels of corruption during the previous regime. When such powerful statements come from an eminent intellectual like Sridhar Vembu, they naturally carry credence and credibility. It goes to show how atrocious the previous DMK government was, and it is no wonder that the entire ecosystem is attacking the main opposition party, perhaps for the first time. DMK will ensure that every possible obstacle is placed before the new government. It had almost been taken for granted that Udhayanidhi would be the next Chief Minister. The TVK Vijay wave changed everything and derailed those expectations. So, Udhayanidhi is unlikely to go easy and will not be kind. BTW, Udhayanidhi recently asked CMOTamilNadu to open his mouth. Now, let us enjoy Udhayanidhi's world-class oratory skills when he was the Deputy Chief Minister!
