rewatching argento’s opera while on a trip and god the keyhole bullet scene still has me screaming inside every time… shot with such grace for something so brutal!

The way the whole room she's in explodes just like her skull, like, DAMN, Argento is so good at that heightened dream reality stuff.

i love that fever dream feel of some of his movies… inferno is the best example of that with the uncanny new york set

i rewatched it and i think it’s a FLAWLESS argento movie… every shot is a work of art everyone’s hot every horror scene is insane

So many directors have ripped this off in the 90’s it’s not even funny. Look at John Woo’s “Hard Target” and Kevin Hook’s “Fled” and you’ll catch the Argento steals. This is Argento’s best, IMO.

The explosion out the head/fall was only shot once. The behind the scenes/making of for this movie are crazy!!!

Saw that Daría Nicolodi made sure they took out over half of the gunpowder Argento insisted on from the squib that goes off in the back of her head. If she hadn’t, that explosion could’ve killed her 😳

It’s a stunner. And the fact that they had to build a big tube and oversized bullet to shoot the effect just proves Argento’s take no prisoners resolve.
