Rey's dialogue-less intro with Williams' theme gets me everytime
Комментарии: 42

Force Awakens is good and it’d be remembered better if the rest of the trilogy wasn’t Like That

TLJ is even better, just TROS got butchered with a rushed production and script

Need to rewatch honestly bc I didn’t like it when it came out. Luke projection fight is cool and Kyle killing Snoke and trying to recruit Rey is good, but rest I found pretty dumb. Looks nice though.

@filmicshailar the autocorrect to kyle is frying me

@filmicshailar Didn’t even notice lol

Its hilarious that this is by far her best scene in an entire trilogy based around her.

I gotta rewatch this one it's so damn good, I like all the sequels but this one I think is still my favorite

The best scene in the entire Sequel Trilogy tbh. No hammy JJ Abrams dialogue or frenetic breakneck pace with constant Marvel quips and explosions.

This is legitimately why the force awakens haters are fucking stupid.

Rey's theme is literally the only musical motif I associate with the Sequels.

i will say the sequels had some visually stunning moments

I will say TFA and TLJ had some great storytelling moments too

i’ve even grown to appreciate the rise of skywalker after reading some EU/legends lore that explains how and why things happened

i just find it a tad unfortunate that i had to read excess material to get it

John Williams did some incredible work between these movies with character themes. Though I still wish there had been something with the same weight as Duel of the Fates and Battle of the Heroes from the sequel trilogy

The first 10 minutes are great. Just a shame it then proceeds to set the story back 30 years by doing the empire vs rebels conflict again and having Luke’s Jedi order wiped out. All just because they wanted it to be like the originals again instead of doing something new

This whole part really makes you feel like you're watching episode 7 of the saga. It's crazy. I love the massive shots of the destroyers. The movie doesent look as beautiful as it does here

Fuck no. Screw that abomination. Episode 7 killed the sequels from the get go by rehashing A New Hope and basically making the whole Original Trilogy pointless.

Her character ironically got worse the longer she was on screen it’s uncanny.

It’s what got me into Star Wars, saw it on TV in 2018 and I was stunned. Her themes so good

I’m just disappointed that everyone’s potential was all snuffed out just so they can shove Rey down our throats. Stormtrooper turned Jedi in Finn? Goated pilot turned Jedi/lovable side character in Poe? Actual badass NOT turned pussy after hearing about a girl in Kylo Ren?

Her theme is up there for one of the best in the franchise imo

It's a wonderful example of show don't tell. Force Awakens was a perfect set up. I lost count of how many times I saw it in the theaters it was my most anticipated physical media release of 2016 I still have my Blu-ray

There was so much danger potential with the sequels but they wasted it all

I don’t like the sequels but this character introduction was so good. It’s such a shame they just did nothing with the character of Rey and were so afraid to have her change or develop at all, she pretty much remains the same throughout all 3 movies.

Rey’s Theme is probably the best track in the Sequel Trilogy, at least to me. For me personally, Episode VII was the last time Star Wars felt like Star Wars. It wasn’t perfect, but damn I’m nostalgic for that long wait through 2015 leading up to December.

I still hum that opening flute solo to this day.

Why? What a bunch of baseless crap

Her character peaks in her opening 3 minutes.

One of the best examples of "show, don't tell" in recent history
Haters gonna hate, but this sequence is top-tier SW. Would watch an entire movie of Rey scavenging on Jakku. And I love that JW absolutely cooked for Daisy & Rey

It’s appalling how they ripped this entire scene off from Studio Ghibli’s Nausicaa and the Valley of the Wind.

For me, it's the scene of the X-Wings destroying the TIE Fighters. Resistance and First Order don't make sense, but I don't care, the music is insane🔥

One of the best character intros in the series.

I played Rey’s theme with my college Wind Ensemble, and it was a truly magical experience.

yeah because she can't act

That 6 min stretch of the sequels is the best they ever got.

Mary sue 😔😒🙄😮💨

Literally of the few amazing scenes in the sequel trilogy. This is Star Wars. Williams score, practical effects and story telling purley through visuals and not shoving it down your throat or random "Somehow this happened" plot. Sequels fell so hard but had potential...

Of course an indian would find this absolutely tastless slop good

It absolutely had potential. Had.

The scene soon after when Rey sees the old woman scrubbing parts is good too. You understand what that means to her without a word.
