Thats because the WTC was built very differently. I used to visit the WTC and there were few if any columns going through the floors. Most of the support came from the sides of the building. Thats why the windows were so narrow. The floors were trusses rather than traditional I-beam construction. This allowed for large floors with almost unbroken views from one side of the building to the other. Useful back in the early 1970s for trade floors where people screamed orders across the floor and other purposes. Trusses are light but under the conditions during 9/11 where a prolonged very hot fire from the jet fuel a few floors of trusses failed and collapsed on the floor below until at one point it was too heavy for the floor below it to support and this the floors pancaked. The trusses gave horizontal stability to the columns of the building so the columns also collapsed. That’s why.

As an architect (really?) you should know that the construction and statics of two buildings are rarely identical. You could ask why WTC7 did collapse, but bringing in a fire of a totally unrelated incident makes your "expertise" as an architect highly questionable.

Different structures, different materials, different damage. WTC 7’s collapse was caused by uncontrolled fires after structural damage from debris and loss of fire suppression, per NIST, not explosives.
