There’s a reason the writers never gave Vermithor to Daemon. Vermithor seemed ready to accept him, but Daemon was already dangerously power-hungry. Giving him the second-largest dragon alive could’ve pushed him even further down a dark path. Maybe Daemon’s fate was never to ride Vermithor because some men should never be given more power. 🐉👀 #HOTD

Was he simply calming Vermithor, rebuilding the dragon’s trust in humans, or preparing him for a future rider? I love this scene. Vermithor almost seems to think, Silverwing, listen!
