Watch the interview:

@DaveRamsey He has also said something to the effect that when wealth is passed down it is usually gone by the 3rd generation - it is extraordinarily rare to have "Rockerfeller" wealth that can/does last for more generations. So yeah, most wealthy got that way by working their butts off.

@TheBabylonBee @DaveRamsey The majority of current wealthy people didn’t inherent their wealth

@DaveRamsey What a very out of touch conversation

@TheBabylonBee @DaveRamsey hey guys let’s take a strawman theory and devote a whole podcast to destroying it more like “most wealth is earned due to an unfair playing field” see: legacy admissions trust funds tax loopholes (e.g. carried interest) tax evasion lobbying DTJ admitting the system is unfair

@DaveRamsey I think this is where the discussion comes from. I just want more of my productivity returned to me in wages. I'm not a communist. You don't understand the objection of younger people who cannot build a life under the current system. @DaveRamsey is a boomer.

@DaveRamsey "My parents didn't give me anything" Except for: A healthy lifestyle Opportunities to succeed Paid for my education Sports training Straight teeth A respected last name Introductions A debt free start All things that don't show up on a balance sheet which don't enter the convo

@DaveRamsey Yeah when you get rich off starting a 'company' that has never turned a profit but survived due to ZIRP environment and no real liability due to corporate structure for sole prop, you totally earned it

@TheBabylonBee @DaveRamsey but if you ignore the whole set of society where there's loopholes and old boys network where they 'fudge' a little here or there to get wealthy

@TheBabylonBee @DaveRamsey So what is it when millionaire or billionaire complains that it’s not fair?
