Richard Madeley asks Diane Abbott why, as a Labour MP, is she speaking out against Keir Starmer over things like the winter fuel allowance "Because you have to speak up for people.. I have to speak up for people who might not otherwise have a voice". Well said #GMB

Imagine a journalist (I know) asking you why you as an MP don't just blindly follow your leader at the expense of your constituents. How did we get here?

Meet Liam. School officials punished Liam for wearing a shirt that challenged the government’s narrative—a troubling example of free speech being censored. Don’t let your rights slip away. Get our FREE “Know Your Rights” guide and stand firm in your convictions.

Diane Abbott is gold - one of the best MPs in Parliament. She gets the assignment when most don’t.

Her first loyalty should be to her constituents, then the country , then the party. Say what you like about abbot ( I certainly do 😂) she's 100% correct here

Imagine a politician who wants to work for the people who voted her in and not for StarverStarmer.

She is clearly sticking with Labour…for that you can’t be anything but disappointed…

You just gotta love the emphasis that Madeley put on ‘loyal’. She has not gotten any loyalty from Starmer, so why expect her to be loyal to a ‘leader’ who hasn’t earned her loyalty?

Madeley does understand that politicians are elected by the people and are supposed to serve the people

God forbid she says what everyone else is thinking

A real politician and a real human being.

Richard Madeley is probably one of the least talented tv show hosts ever.
