@GaryLineker Does Madely not realise that the Nazi regime didn’t start with gas chambers and genocide, it started with political propaganda and dividing a nation and pitting them against a minority! Lineker was bang on

@GaryLineker Madeley talking bollocks as usual. He, like many other Gary bashers, clearly hasn’t read what @GaryLineker actually tweeted.

@GaryLineker The idea that that Nazis turned up in 1939 as a fully-formed genocidal party that declared war on the world, that’s ludicrous. The path to it was whipping up hatred and adding laws one at a time to remove freedoms from sectors of society and ethnicities. That’s how it starts.

@GaryLineker Madeley thinks its preposterous for GL to compare UK with 1930s Germany. But it was OK for serving diplomat , Jeremy Hunt, to say the EU was "like a Soviet prison". Also, Farage tweeted the EU "is the new Soviet union".

@GaryLineker Mr Madely needs to take a look at the migration laws in Australia! We take more than our fair share of asylum seekers and our laws aren’t as at all similar or worse than the UK’s new laws! The UK has basically outlawed asylum seeking in the UK

@GaryLineker He didn't actually draw a comparison between the two but there you go. He criticised the language being used not actually the policy.

@GaryLineker

@GaryLineker Lineker didn't allude to the holocaust at all. He, quite accurately, compared the rhetorical 1930s Germany with that of this government. Examples of this are plentiful.

@GaryLineker No one more entitled than Madeley in that respect.

@GaryLineker Germany didn't wake up one morning and have an auld genocide. It was a slow burner that started with language. I don't think the UK will go as far, but similarities to the beginning are there.
