Ridley Scott's Prometheus was released 12 years ago today.

Quick! Run in a straight line!

Say what you will about the film as a whole (I've my own opinions, which I'll keep to m'self at this time), but this is among the MOST GORGEOUS planetary landing sequences EVER committed to film!

Visually astounding and I take great pleasure to rewatch it time and again, but what a pile of horsecrap when it comes to the scenario, holy mother of Jesus.

The world would have been better off without it.

Every time I see a post with a date here. I realize time goes way too fast and I'm getting old. 😆

Visually Watching this in the cinema was a real treat. This film is a beautiful mess, first two acts of the film are wonderful. The third act is a complete cluster. Nevertheless I still love it. Unfortunately the sequel was complete garbage and lacked the spirit of this one.

How I wish it hadn't been.

It gets loads of stick, I kinda liked it.
