This what I fear: Khamenei and the IRGC leaders will flee Iran to save themselves. Once all of Iran’s nuclear sites are destroyed, Trump will tell Netanyahu, “Mission accomplished—stop the attacks.” And just like that, the regime’s leaders will return home and resume oppressing and looting the Iranian people. Nothing changes. The people are back to square one—trapped under the same brutal theocracy. But Trump will be satisfied because Iran is no longer a nuclear threat. And Qatar will be satisfied, too, because the Islamic regime survives.
