I remember one year the Eagles were playing the Giants in the Yale bowl. Anyway,it was rainy and a complete mud ball. Bergey tossed this guy out of bounds, and as they both rolled around in the mud,Bill threw a fistful of mud in the guys face ! They showed the replay!

My favorite Eagle player from that era!!

Bill Bergey spoke at 2 of our end of season banquets for football as a kid. I idolized him for his play and tremendous generosity around young kids. What a man. RIP
