Only fitting that today is the 22nd. Rest easy 22.

Back when the Super Bowl was played during the daytime

50 years later and I finally learn his real name is Eugene. He was always Mercury. Loved watching those Dolphin teams of the 70s.

probably the best back field ever, add Jim Kiick, RIP Eugene "Mercury" Morris...athletes in any sport need to watch his highlight reel, NOBODY moved like that, nobody will.

The legend will live forever, 17-0 RIP Eugene.

My favorite player growing up

The last of my WWII veteran heroes that I knew passed away about ten years ago. It seems like every year we lose another one of my Miami Dolphins boyhood heroes. It’s life but sad nonetheless to who shaped dreams and ideals leave this world.

Mercury Morris was one of the players one of the kids from my childhood pretended to be when we played touch football. (My cousin was Franco Harris and I was Fred Biletnikoff) The #NFL in the #70s!

Another part of my childhood is gone.
