@tall_ny Still a banger to this day. Thank you for this classic. #RIPRobBase

@grittywuzhere Absolutely Iconic to say the least. “It Takes Two” was a viral sensation long before we knew what going viral even meant.

I miss when black people used to be like this

Forever the party starter. Out here in NYC when i was growing up as a kid when that joint came on you had to dance and show off your best moves lol

❤️ This song was played at every Middle School dance. I know because I attended all of them 😎💃🏻🕺🏾

I'm sorry @TheShowEddie 💔 One last time for Rob Base "Hit it!" 🎶

First CD I ever bought! I was 8! No joke!

Growing up in a city where you didn't have anywhere to go, so cruising around the town was our weekends. Man, when I tell you, when I popped this tape in, that car became the club.

My first real boyfriend loved this song and would play it constantly. When we broke up because he cheated. I would cuss like a sailor every time I heard it. It wasn't Rob Base's fault. It was your fault, Rick!

My era. Thanks for the good times. 🙏

@SteveKim323 THEE Party starter!!! And don’t dare sleep on “Joy and Pain” RIP

@Lizzs_Lockeroom You would have had to be there. RIP to the great Rod Base.

Test in Peace Rob Base One of my first tapes was It Takes Two

Aww, that stinks. It Takes Two was the soundtrack for my bike ride from my fave bar at 20 &Lombard St to my Apt at 2nd and South Street at 2AM, closing time. I’d ride my bike, weave in and out thru the parade of cars*, blasting the song. RIP Rob Base! *A lot of Suzuki Samurai’s
