Tilak Not Allowed? Croma Employee Faces Religious Bias on Eid Day A shocking incident took place at the Croma store in Bhandup West. An employee, Ritesh Sharma, was allegedly asked to remove his tilak by a senior named Rashid, sparking anger. 1/7

The incident became public when a video of a group of activists questioning the store management surfaced online. One of them can be heard asking: “What is the problem with someone wearing a tilak? Are we in Saudi Arabia or India?” Watch this video 3/7

The confrontation escalated. The store management tried to pacify the protestors, claiming they were unaware and that action would be taken. Rashid reportedly apologized when confronted. 4/7

This isn’t about one employee’s faith. It’s about how aversion to Sanatana is being normalized in our society. I don’t understand why anyone should have a problem with a simple tilak or vibhuti. These are deeply rooted in the ancient culture of this land. I say culture, not religion, because one doesn’t need to believe in a deity or follow a particular tradition within the Hindu fold to wear them. For many, it’s simply a part of their existence. There are spiritual reasons why people apply tilak or vibhuti on the forehead, but that’s a discussion for another time. Those on the yogic spiritual path are well aware of those reasons. 5/7

As it stands now, Rashid has verbally apologized. The police have not taken any action since Ritesh Sharma has not filed an official complaint. Tata Croma has not issued a statement on this matter yet. 6/7

People like Rashid must remember that India is a diverse nation. People follow different customs, traditions, and dress in various ways. They must also understand that Bharat is not the Middle East. Ironically, even Middle Eastern nations today are opening up and showing respect towards Indian Hindu attire and traditions. The real problem lies with some individuals in India who still think we're living in 6th-century Arabia. Incidents like this must be addressed firmly. And let’s not even imagine the outrage if a hijabi woman had been asked to remove her hijab. 7/7

Mark my words. Rakesh will soon lose his job. He has taken on a pig for his religious belief, which is a grave crime in this country. The likes of Rashid will always have an upper hand over Hindus. That's the reality.

Croma should fire Rashid immediately

He must have stolen something and upon being caught he is cooking up this story..same script used by bhakts across the country

Somebody slap rashid on my behalf any legal action would be handled by us
