@Rivian My 1998 Dodge Neon had that capability. It literally looks like the same mechanism. I’m assuming the companies that make seats for auto makers have been doing this for a while. Rivian makes awesome vehicles, but removable headrests are not some new concept or innovative.

@Rivian The 2nd and 3rd row seats of the R1S.2 are a clumsy, bumpy, space-wasting, heavy mess. Needs a complete rethink. Mini-vans from 15 years ago have far better seats for utility and practical purposes. @Rivian went form-over-function for the cabin, frunk, and cargo spaces.
