RO KHANNA: “If we want to regulate [Big Tech], maybe we start by not having three 80-year-old presidents in a row.” BILL MAHER: “That’s ageist.” RO KHANNA: “You’re fine with having another 80-year-old president?” BILL MAHER: “I think it’s a case-by-case basis when you’re 80… I’ll be [80] in...

Bill Maher: “You need to hear that other side. You need to be checked. People need to be checked. Including your little girl.” David Cross: “F*ck that b*tch. F*ck that little b*tch with her black friends and tr*ns friends and not even understanding.” Bill Maher: “Tr*ns? Wait, [your daughter] has tr*ns friends in third grade?” David Cross: “Yeah.” Bill Maher: “They know they’re tr*ns in third grade?” David Cross: “I think just turned 9 [years-old]… Just the coolest kid.” Bill Maher: “[Is the child transitioning from] girl to boy?” David Cross: “Girl to boy. And she has another very close friend who’s not in the school, but who’s boy to girl at 3 years old.” Bill Maher: “A woman said, ‘I was what they called a tomboy. If I was alive now and acted the way I did then, that’s what they would have done to me.’” David Cross: “Well, nobody’s doing this to her.” Bill Maher: “Well, I don’t know.” David Cross: “Literally nobody is doing this to her.” Bill Maher: “How old?” David Cross: “Either 8 or I think 9.” Bill Maher: “Okay, then somebody is doing something because 8 or 9-year-olds can’t do anything on their own.” David Cross: “No, they’re buying them boys' clothes.” Bill Maher: “Well then, they’re doing something.” David Cross: “Sure. Yes, you’re right. They’re buying them boys' clothes.” Bill Maher: “And telling them you’re a boy now.” David Cross: “No, no, they’re not telling them. They’re just agreeing with [the child].” Bill Maher: “Agreeing with an 8-year-old. Because when has their judgment ever been off at 8?” David Cross: “You knew you weren’t g*y, right?… It’s not different.” Bill Maher: “It is different. Good luck with President Vance. Because, as I always say to my woke friends, we voted for the same person. You’re just why [Kamala Harris] lost and this is a case of that.” David Cross: “Wait, what?” Bill Maher: “We voted for the same person. You’re just why she lost. Because America hears this, and they’re going to go, ‘Bill’s right. 8-year-olds can’t really make decisions on their own like this.’ That’s what most people are going to say.” “This is why we’re going to vote for JD Vance... That’s America in a nutshell.”

Bill Maher confronts Ro Khanna over California’s “ridiculous” gun laws. Maher caught Khanna off guard when he revealed he wanted a gun — but complained it makes “no sense” to own one in California, because “you might be the one to go to jail” for using it. Khanna tried to sound like he cared about the Second Amendment, but the exchange exposed he's not the moderate Democrat he claims to be. MAHER: “What does the panel think of the Supreme Court ruling that habitual marijuana users can’t be banned from owning guns? Now you have my attention… That’s awesome. That’s fair. I want guns and I can’t have them because I don’t, because it’s illegal.” KHANNA: “You don’t strike me as a gun guy. You would want guns?” MAHER: “Of course!” KHANNA: “Okay, I didn’t know that.” MAHER: “Why wouldn’t you want a gun?” KHANNA: “I don’t know. I mean, I don’t have a gun, but I mean, I respect the Second Amendment. I just, I wouldn’t have thought that you had guns.” MAHER: “I mean, I don’t because of that! But yes. I mean, I can’t expect the police to be everywhere like that… And of course, another complaint I would have about California is it almost makes no sense to have one because you almost can’t use it! Because if you do, you might be the one to go to jail. I mean, you can shoot an intruder in your house, but you better do it exactly right. He better be in your bedroom facing you… You shoot him on the lawn, you’re going to go to jail. I mean, that’s kind of ridiculous, isn’t it?” KHANNA: “I’m for investing in police. I’m for having public safety. I don’t think the answer to crime should be everyone takes justice into their own hands.” MAHER: “Even if there’s somebody in your house?!” KHANNA: “Well, of course, if they’re in the house. Self-defense.” MAHER: “Well, that’s what we’re talking about.” KHANNA: “Yeah, but… there are cases where people have taken the law in their own hands, shot folks who are innocent.”

Bill Maher Tells Mike Tyson what he Doesn't like about Islam. Bill Maher: “You’re a Muslim. Is the whole family Muslim?” Mike Tyson: “It’s my wife and my kids. They have to choose what they want to be.” Bill Maher: “And you’re okay with that?” Mike Tyson: “Absolutely.” Bill Maher: “That is not a point of view that’s even allowed in many Muslim countries around the world. There is one religion, it is Islam, and they’re not big on, ‘Hey, you know what? Let’s agree to disagree.’” Mike Tyson: “But listen, I’m not Allah.” Bill Maher: “I know. I’m just saying that’s something you’re allowed to do here as an American Muslim.” Mike Tyson: “I learned from experience. I’m not going to stop that growth from something that my growth is extending with. I’ve grown with it, but that’s not their growth.” Bill Maher: “I’m just pointing out that this enlightened point of view is not found uniformly around the world.” Mike Tyson: “You’d be surprised how many Muslims want to come in that think the way we think.” Bill Maher: “I’m not surprised. And women who don’t want to wear the you know, whatever the thing that looks like a cover of a motorboat.” Mike Tyson: “Well, some people are more modest. I wish I had the dignity to be that modest.” Bill Maher: “Modest? Why do you say that?” Mike Tyson: “Because they believe in covering themselves, and I’m like, you said I gotta be I don’t have much money. I gotta be in this cheap-ass plane with all these people and talking to these people.” Bill Maher: “One thing is modesty. Completely covering a woman so you don’t see any of her is different. This isn’t modest. That’s pathological.” Mike Tyson: “Suppose she’s happy with that.” Bill Maher: “She’s not. Oh my God, she’s not happy with it. I mean, you can brainwash someone into liking anything.”

Bill Maher Challenges Ro Khanna on Universal Healthcare “Why Couldn’t It Work in Vermont?” Bill Maher: You say the tent is big enough for both the Democrats and the Democratic Socialists. Can I read some things from the Democratic Socialist platform? Ro Khanna: Sure. Bill Maher: Here's what I agree with: reduce military spending. I've been saying that forever. Especially in the age of drones, buying fighter planes is ridiculous. Ro Khanna: I'm very I appreciate you saying that. I'm one of the only votes on the House Armed Services Committee that votes no. Bill Maher: It's ridiculous. Close bases overseas, been saying that forever. Restore voting rights to people with criminal convictions. Statehood for D.C. I'm for that. Get rid of the Electoral College. Okay, can I read you the ones that I think are crazy? Ro Khanna: Sure. Bill Maher: Universal healthcare: no premiums, no co-pays, no deductibles. They tried this in Vermont, they couldn't get it to work. Ro Khanna: But you could do it nationally. It's worked in Taiwan, it's worked in Canada. We pay twice as much for healthcare as any other industrialised country, and we've got the worst healthcare outcomes. If you expand Medicare for everyone, everyone has to pay a little bit, and you get everyone covered. Bill Maher: So why couldn't it work in a state like Vermont? They've also proposed it in California, and the budget would have to be like $800 million. It would be two or three times what we pay for everything now. Panelist: The US Congress is not going to end private healthcare in this country. They're just not. Ro Khanna: No one is talking about ending private healthcare. They're talking about expanding Medicare. If you have Medicare with hearing, vision and dental, and expand it, people can still get supplemental private insurance. The reality is Medicare works, and expanding it is the biggest way to lower costs and get everyone covered. Bill Maher: Again, I'm confused why it would work nationally when it couldn't work even in these two states. Ro Khanna: Because the states didn't have the waivers to get the money. You need the Medicare/Medicaid money that the states didn't have. It's hard to do it on a state without the waivers.
