🇺🇸 FAUCI CAN'T PLEAD THE 5TH! - He has received a pardon and Republicans argue he has no Fifth Amendment privilege, citing Brown v. Walker. So can he plead the fifth or not? Fauci has now pled the 5th 4 dozen times in two hours! He even refused to confirm there was a red folder in front of him, which drew audible laughter in the gallery! Sen. Josh Hawley told Fauci, "You don't have any rights under the Fifth Amendment because you've been pardoned, as you very well know, as the Supreme Court has been clear for a century and more." Hawley pointed to the 1896 precedent directly, saying that under Brown versus Walker, "when he has been pardoned, he may not stand upon his privilege." He then characterized the refusal as "contempt for this body and contempt for the American people," arguing Fauci was invoking the Fifth because he did not want to answer questions. CONCLUSION: Fauci has no right to plead the Fifth. He has been pardoned. When he accepted that pardon he gave up his right to plead the fifth in this particular case! She should not be allowed to plead the 5th. Her Habeas petition doesn't change that. And in no way she should ever be pardoned. I call on the President to firmly commit to never pardoning her. The victims deserve justice.
