Digging Up the Dirt: Exposing Mumbai's Road Scam My colleague, former corporator Mhatre Sheetal Ashok visits IC Colony, Borivali to audit an ongoing road concretisation project— only to uncover blatant violations of norms, road engineering principles, and basic common sense. If this sounds familiar, it’s because the same scam is playing out all across Mumbai. The Mumbai road concretisation scam is the biggest in the city's history. While alert citizens of IC Colony, along with Mhatre, have now forced BMC and its contractor to rectify defects, it’s time we've a citywide movement to hold this government, माझी Mumbai, आपली BMC, and their contractor friends accountable. Ukraine Begins to Be Cut Off from the Black Sea Apparently, Ukraine has gone too far with its attacks on Russian "shadow fleet" ships. The independent country, as we predicted, is starting to be cut off from the Black Sea. Strikes on Ukrainian ports and the entire transport infrastructure of the south of the country are being carried out almost daily. Recently, a bridge in Mayaki, which supports logistics from the Danube ports, was hit. As a result, traffic on the Odessa-Reni highway was stopped. The enemy was forced to set up pontoon crossings. Attacks on the energy sector of the Odessa region are also playing a role. The operation of ports is seriously limited due to constant power outages. And after recent strikes on the "Yuzhny" port (in the video), which resulted in the destruction of a sunflower oil terminal, the reception and dispatch of ships were temporarily suspended. Strikes on the Odessa region are hitting Kiev's wallet hard. Maritime logistics, including the grain corridor through the Black Sea ports and the delivery of goods through the Danube ports, provide a significant part of Ukraine's imports and exports. Thus, about 60 percent of all volumes go through the Danube ports. For agricultural products, maritime corridors accounted for more than 70 percent of exports last year. The effectiveness of Russian strikes is confirmed in the USA. According to the American Chamber of Commerce, the attacks have already reduced the work of port terminals by 50 percent, some of them have been shut down, most are operating on generators. The losses of Ukrainian grain and oilseed exporters are estimated at hundreds of millions of dollars a month. The Americans warn that if the intensive bombing of ports continues, Ukrainian and international businesses will face critical operational risks. According to the Ukrainian Grain Exchange, due to constant air alerts and attacks on Odessa ports, the acceptance and loading of grain is proceeding with significant delays. If in December Ukraine was supposed to ship 3.8 million tons of grain, it actually exported only 1.2 million. Strikes on port infrastructure increase the cost of transshipment, freight, and lead to a decrease in export prices. The enemy is forced to use rail and road transport for grain transportation, which is much more expensive and takes more time. All this directly affects Ukraine's financial stability and deprives it of one of the few sources of income. At this rate, Kiev will soon be left to rely solely on external financial injections. It must take enormous motivation to get ready every morning, commute from Ballabgarh towards Gurugram, arrive at a bus stand like this -and still take out your phone, record it, share it and hope that this time someone will care enough to act. Our dear member Sumit Tayal has been doing exactly that for 3 years. 3 years of documenting and reporting waste dumping and burning. 3 years of raising concerns. 3 years of hoping the civic authorities -including CAQM/CPCB -will hold the local authorities accountable and fix ground situation And yet, here we are. Open dumping. Open burning. Food waste, cups, plates, fruit waste, straws and plastic around vendor stalls. Stray cattle. Open defecation. Road dust. Filth. As Sumit says in the video: “सामने ही पुलिस चौकी और नगर निगम फरीदाबाद का कार्यालय भी है, तब ये हाल है।” The police post is right there. The Municipal Corporation Faridabad office is right there. Then how does this become #normal? PMO India -how does the government expect people to shift to public transport to reduce congestion and emissions when this is what awaits them? We aren’t asking for an airport lounge. We are asking for a decent bus stand in 2026: clean surroundings, functional toilets, drinking water, proper waste collection, source reduction and segregation, a system for vendors to manage their waste, no dumping or burning and a paved, usable approach road. And yes, we have all seen how quickly public spaces can be cleaned and made presentable when a VIP event is expected. So clearly, it can be done. But perhaps ordinary commuters know the truth: #We_are_not_VIPs_But_We_pay_taxes, use public transport and ask for basic civic infrastructure -while being lectured about our bhagidari. mool chand sharma ji a bus stand in 2026 should not look like 1426. Vipul Goel ji The SWM Rules, 2026 are in force. Three years of citizen documentation is enough. Please inspect. Please enforce. Please fix. And please tell citizens what action has been taken. Bengaluru is being strangled by a corrupt government that refuses to govern. The traffic crisis is worsening by the day, and the core reason is staring us in the face: the explosion of private vehicles. But instead of addressing this, the state government is fuelling it. Instead of building mass public transport, it has launched a war against it. At a time when every rupee of public money should be invested in making public transport more available, more affordable and more reliable, this government has done the opposite. It is punishing those who rely on public transport and actively incentivising more car and two-wheeler ownership. The state wants to spend ₹1 lakh crore to build 100 kilometres of new flyovers and 18 kilometres of tunnel roads - a gift wrapped package for the politician-contractor lobby. But here’s the punchline: more than 20 flyovers have been pending for close to eight years, lying incomplete across the city. Before even completing what it has already failed, the government wants to throw billions more at the same failure. This isn’t infrastructure building. This is an addiction to kickback-paying contracts. The ₹18,000 crore tunnel road is the peak of this madness — a vanity project that benefits only private cars while being a death sentence for the city’s public transport system. It will not serve the pedestrian, the cyclist, the commuter - it will serve only the cars, the SUVs. It won’t serve the common guy who uses the BMTC or the metro. While the government wants to build more roads, it is killing last mile connectivity. Carpooling, bike-sharing, and auto-sharing remain unsupported. It refuses to allow private players to run buses alongside BMTC, despite the overwhelming demand. Metro fares are being hiked unscientifically, pushing people away from mass transit instead of into it. Meanwhile, ridership in Metro is weakening. And the result? The roads are flooded with cars. A recent study by Bengaluru Traffic Police on Outer Ring Road found a 20% increase in vehicle numbers in just one year, resulting in a 125% increase in congestion. This is not sustainable. This will lead to a total collapse of the city. Every delay in Metro completion brings more cars onto the streets. Every step taken to weaken the bus system brings more two-wheelers into the chaos. Bengaluru already has more private vehicles than people. No other global city in our population bracket has done this because no other city has such a suicidal mobility policy. Let’s be clear: this government’s mobility policy is not citizen-centric. It is contractor-centric. It is not about moving people - it is about moving cars. This is a government in the grip of a politician-bureaucrat-contractor nexus, that would rather pour concrete than build a city that works. And who is paying the price? The nurse who takes the bus. The student who walks to the Metro. The delivery rider stuck in traffic. The poor and middle class of Bengaluru, who don’t own cars, but are cross-subsidising roads that are built exclusively for car owners. This is not just poor governance. It is structural injustice. This assault on Bengaluru must stop. Every rupee of public money must be redirected to public transport. That is the only globally proven solution to decongestion and cities with denser populations than ours have done it. What’s missing here is not technology or funds. What’s missing is political will. And that will won’t come from those in power. It must come from the people of Bengaluru. From those who are stuck in traffic and fed up of being lied to. From those who are tired of vanity projects and demand real mobility solutions. From a new generation of leadership that fights for commuters, not contractors. Bengaluru is choking. We can either demand change - or let this city be buried under its own traffic. Let’s tell loud and clear - Public Transport is our Fundamental Right. We need our government to provide it. My remarks at the World Symposium on Sustainability & Livability hosted by IISc Bangalore.

While Rahul Gandhi makes an emotional appeal to the central government asking them to stop the destruction of environment in Andaman & Nicobar, the Congress government in Telangana is doing just the same! Kasu Brahmananda Reddy park / KBR park is an urban forest spread across 390 kilometres in the heart of the city. KBR has been home for over 600 species of plant life, 140 species of birds and 30 different varieties of butterflies and reptiles. You see peacocks all over the park, many snakes too are spotted regularly. Animals like pangolin, small Indian civet, peacock, jungle cat and porcupines live there. People are allowed only for limited hours in the morning and in the evening & that too only in a small section of the park to protect the environment. At any point of time, when you pass by KBR, you can clearly feel 2-5 degrees temperature drop. In the heart of the city’s Jubilee Hills, it is a beautiful green lung space. KBR Park was declared an Eco sensitive zone on 27 October 2020. Traffic around KBR has been an issue. There was a proposal to build flyovers at KBR to ease the traffic by the urban planning authorities. People protested and the then CM KCR instructed everyone to stand down on the project since it destroys an ecosystem. Today! Revanth Reddy as part of the Strategic Road Development Programme and H-CITI plan is going ahead and constructing 6 flyovers and 6 underpasses. All because he wants to make area around KBR park - “signal free”! Budget is Rs 1,090 crores. No of trees that will be destroyed? 1942 mature trees will be uprooted!!! There is no environmental clearance to the project. Congress Government came up with an intelligent way to bypass this. They split the project into 6 separate projects and now they don’t need any clearances. What’s worse- the Telangana High Court had given a stay order & to bypass that, the shameless government is carrying out demolitions in the dead of the night. They want to finish the destruction before the courts open again! Bulldozers come in the night and work nonstop to create a chance to fatten the purses of contractors. These flyovers and underpasses will destroy the ecosystem completely. But yeah, who cares? Since it is Congress that is destroying the lung space and since it is not Andaman & Nicobar island, since it is Telangana and most importantly people in Hyderabad don’t need OXYGEN, this destruction is absolutely 💯 percent okay 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Video from last night

Russian propagandist Dugin openly says that Russia needs a mobilization and that Putin must make the decision to go through with it. A new large-scale mobilization campaign in Russia in the fall of 2026 has not yet been announced. However, the likelihood that mobilization will be announced in late September or October is very high. It is clear that the Russian authorities will not announce this in advance so as not to trigger a mass exodus and a decline in loyalty on the eve of the parliamentary elections. If the campaign is being prepared, it will logically be concealed until the administrative system is ready and opportunities to leave the country are as limited as possible. Therefore, it's necessary to see whether Russia's individual actions are coming together into a unified mobilization configuration. ◾️ First, independent Russian media outlets with sources in regional administrations and the military recruitment system report that a new mobilization is being discussed at various levels of government. October (after the State Duma elections) is cited as a possible date. ◾️ Second, Russia is facing an increasingly severe shortage of manpower. Regions are increasing payments to contract soldiers and expanding recruitment among debtors, prisoners, the unemployed, foreigners, and socially vulnerable groups. At the same time, recruitment numbers are declining, while the need for monthly replenishment is estimated at tens of thousands of people. This means that the voluntary-monetary model is approaching its limits. ◾️ Third, military enlistment offices are not just updating their databases. Since the beginning of 2026, reports have been coming in from various regions that mobilization orders are being affixed to military ID cards during summonses, ostensibly for "data update." Such an order predetermines where a person must report on their own once mobilization measures are in effect. ◾️ Fourth, the state has established an e-infrastructure that it did not have in September 2022. A summons is considered served once it is entered into the registry, and a travel ban can take effect as soon as it is uploaded, regardless of whether the citizen has seen it. If a person fails to appear, the system allows for additional restrictions to be imposed. This means that the Kremlin no longer needs to publicly announce a general border closure: it is sufficient to simultaneously enter the required number of people into the registry and forward the data to the border service. ◾️ Fifth, one of the potential ways for circumventing Russian control has already been closed. Belarus has confirmed that Russians prohibited from leaving Russia due to a military summons will not be able to leave Belarusian territory either. Thus, the restriction effectively applies to both countries. ◾️ Sixth, the tightening of border control, consultations with neighboring countries on closing borders to Russians, changes to transport links, and growing interest among Russians in leaving Russia coincide with the worsening of military conscription. ◾️ Seventh, the calendar follows a political logic. Before the election, it is not in the government's interest to stir up widespread anxiety. After the vote, the political cost drops sharply. That is why September may be the final month of administrative preparations, and October - a convenient time for mobilization. The available indicators are sufficient to assess that the risk of a new mobilization this fall is high. It may not be called a mobilization. It could take the form of mass "data update," reservist assemblies, mobilization orders, forced enlistment, regional quotas, or phased travel restrictions. For someone who will ultimately be sent to war, the legal name of the mechanism will not matter. What should those who do not want to participate in the war do: 🔹 Don't wait for an official mobilization announcement. Once a draft notice is entered into the electronic registry, the travel ban may take effect automatically. The moment when mobilization is publicly acknowledged may come only after opportunities to leave the country have effectively been closed off. 🔹 Leave in advance and only via legal routes. Belarus should not be viewed as a way to circumvent Russian restrictions, as the Belarusian border system may enforce Russia's travel bans. 🔹 Don't consider Europe as the primary relocation destination. Russian citizens will face visa restrictions there, stricter checks on the source of funds, banks' refusal to open or maintain accounts, difficulties with money transfers from Russia, and restrictions on transactions with Russian banks, payment and cryptocurrency services. 🔹 Use Central Asia primarily as a quick transit zone. Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, or Uzbekistan may be options for an initial departure, temporary stay, and planning the next route. At the same time, these countries should not be considered guaranteed safe havens for deserters, anti-war activists, or people wanted by Russia, due to the cooperation between local law enforcement agencies and Moscow. After the initial departure, potential relocation destinations may include: ▪️ countries in Latin America, specifically Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Chile, Mexico, or countries in Central America; ▪️ countries in South and Southeast Asia; ▪️ Türkiye as a temporary transport and relocation hub; ▪️ certain countries in the Middle East, Africa, or the Caribbean; ▪️ other countries where legal entry, long-term stay, study, work, or a residence permit are available. A practical strategy should consist of two stages: first, a quick, legal departure through an accessible country in Central Asia, the Caucasus, Türkiye, or another open route; then, travel to a country in Asia, Latin America, the Middle East, Africa, or another region where long-term legalization is possible. Waiting for full documentary confirmation of mobilization in this situation means risking that the decision will be confirmed only after it will no longer be possible to cross the border.

If anything this is the kind of rhetorical posturing that I'm against in VP Chiwenga's politics. His propensity to advance his political progress by seeking to undermine everyone else, blinding the gullible by portraying himself as the betrayed holy victim and painting everyone else as a Judas. If anything this whole ensemble is an accomplished clan of Iscariots with no Jesus to sell! That is why I have pointed out cases like the funding of his wedding by Chivayo; support for his foreign treatment by Tagwirei and the vast DRC financial tranches meant for soldiers that never reached them! Yet today he peddles a version of himself that is unrelated to all these Zvigananda yet they are as interlinked as his umbilical connection to the Chinese flourishing and recklessly operating all over the country. While the Nigerians have been creating space for locals like Dangote, Adenuga to flourish here we have a VP underwriting and protecting a community of the Chinese feasting on natural resources while acting as a hitman against competing locals. Why isn't he equally raising the issue of the Chinese who are no longer a negligible economic factor but a corrosive acid that is quickly decimating ancient hills, ravaging rivers and abusing locals! We can't have a leader who focuses on undermining and attacking his own people while protecting foreigners! China is dumping its excess of labour here while leaders like him ignore that because they are eating from there. Why does Manhize Steel Plant have hundreds of Chinese Engineers as if our of Universities are not producing such? Then you accuse locals of not opening factories to create employment when your favourites are blocking the same! My grandfather was married kuna amaNcube that's why I call you Sekuru and I will state the truth to you any day Soko unlike those misleading you like Machakaire and Chinomona. Those are flip floppers without an iota of political gravitas. They are useful only to the extent of ED's indulgence. That some individuals are giddy with excitement viewing him as the panacea speaks to rampant mob psychology and abundant lack of critical thinking. If ever fate turned sideways I wouldn't be surprised if under him the country would be assailed, not by a pack of local Zvigananda, but an avalanche of Chinese Zvigananda externalising billions! That his faction ran to smear me with false accusations of being paid was the clearest sign of their fear for truth revealing who he really is. All the same, truth isn't castrated of potency whether spoken by one paid or not. In fact, time acts as a curtain moving slowly to reveal what lies behind. It's high time Soko appreciated his position acted accordingly and discarded his penchant for gulping misguided advise where he is told that his military past bestows on him a right to power or political virility to intimidate everyone. Tese tine zuva rekufa so there is nothing to fear and even without bodyguards takatosimbawo. None of us whose houses have been burnt or those he continues to besmirch without evidence has reciprocated by going after his own dark side. He already has a soiled enough record to arm any rival. No one has gone after his shady and huge portfolio of properties at a time he had no financial capacity for such or interrogated his repeated intimidation of the judiciary in the saddening case against his physically ravaged former wife; never mind the acts against the children who can't see their mother! Already the cycle of events in the Army should act as a warning to the Producers of his political journey that whatever military might they thought lay under his feet doesn't exist. Protocol is a dangerous illusion if it is mistaken for reality!.

🚨 BREAKING: The White House has begun releasing President Trump's 20-point peace plan between Israel and Gaza PRESIDENT TRUMP would chair the transition board Major points are as follows: ➡️ HOSTAGES & PRISONERS: All hostages, both alive and deceased, to be returned within 72 hours of Israel's acceptance. In return, Israel will release 250 life-sentence prisoners and 1,700 detainees ➡️ CEASEFIRE: All military operations suspended; IDF withdrawal tied to demilitarization milestones ➡️ GAZA'S FUTURE: To become a “deradicalized, terror-free zone” under temporary Palestinian technocratic governance with international stabilization forces. ➡️ HAMAS ROLE: No role in Gaza governance; members who disarm may receive amnesty or safe passage abroad. ➡️ AID & REBUILDING: Immediate humanitarian aid, unrestricted distribution through the UN/Red Crescent, creation of a Special Economic Zone, and a Trump-led economic development plan to rebuild Gaza. FULL RELEASE BY WHITE HOUSE: 1. Gaza will be a deradicalized terror-free zone that does not pose a threat to its neighbors. 2. Gaza will be redeveloped for the benefit of the people of Gaza, who have suffered more than enough. 3. If both sides agree to this proposal, the war will immediately end. Israeli forces will withdraw to the agreed upon line to prepare for a hostage release. During this time, all military operations, including aerial and artillery bombardment, will be suspended, and battle lines will remain frozen until conditions are met for the complete staged withdrawal. 4. Within 72 hours of Israel publicly accepting this agreement, all hostages, alive and deceased, will be returned. 5. Once all hostages are released, Israel will release 250 life sentence prisoners plus 1700 Gazans who were detained after October 7th 2023, including all women and children detained in that context. For every Israeli hostage whose remains are released, Israel will release the remains of 15 deceased Gazans. 6. Once all hostages are returned, Hamas members who commit to peaceful co-existence and to decommission their weapons will be given amnesty. Members of Hamas who wish to leave Gaza will be provided safe passage to receiving countries. 7. Upon acceptance of this agreement, full aid will be immediately sent into the Gaza Strip. At a minimum, aid quantities will be consistent with what was included in the January 19, 2025, agreement regarding humanitarian aid, including rehabilitation of infrastructure (water, electricity, sewage), rehabilitation of hospitals and bakeries, and entry of necessary equipment to remove rubble and open roads. 8. Entry of distribution and aid in the Gaza Strip will proceed without interference from the two parties through the United Nations and its agencies, and the Red Crescent, in addition to other international institutions not associated in any manner with either party. Opening the Rafah crossing in both directions will be subject to the same mechanism implemented under the January 19, 2025 agreement. 9. Gaza will be governed under the temporary transitional governance of a technocratic, apolitical Palestinian committee, responsible for delivering the day-to-day running of public services and municipalities for the people in Gaza. This committee will be made up of qualified Palestinians and international experts, with oversight and supervision by a new international transitional body, the “Board of Peace,” which will be headed and chaired by President Donald J. Trump, with other members and heads of State to be announced, including Former Prime Minister Tony Blair. This body will set the framework and handle the funding for the redevelopment of Gaza until such time as the Palestinian Authority has completed its reform program, as outlined in various proposals, including President Trump’s peace plan in 2020 and the Saudi-French proposal, and can securely and effectively take back control of Gaza. This body will call on best international standards to create modern and efficient governance that serves the people of Gaza and is conducive to attracting investment. 10. A Trump economic development plan to rebuild and energize Gaza will be created by convening a panel of experts who have helped birth some of the thriving modern miracle cities in the Middle East. Many thoughtful investment proposals and exciting development ideas have been crafted by well-meaning international groups, and will be considered to synthesize the security and governance frameworks to attract and facilitate these investments that will create jobs, opportunity, and hope for future Gaza. 11. A special economic zone will be established with preferred tariff and access rates to be negotiated with participating countries. 12. No one will be forced to leave Gaza, and those who wish to leave will be free to do so and free to return. We will encourage people to stay and offer them the opportunity to build a better Gaza. 13. Hamas and other factions agree to not have any role in the governance of Gaza, directly, indirectly, or in any form. All military, terror, and offensive infrastructure, including tunnels and weapon production facilities, will be destroyed and not rebuilt. There will be a process of demilitarization of Gaza under the supervision of independent monitors, which will include placing weapons permanently beyond use through an agreed process of decommissioning, and supported by an internationally funded buy back and reintegration program all verified by the independent monitors. New Gaza will be fully committed to building a prosperous economy and to peaceful coexistence with their neighbors. 14. A guarantee will be provided by regional partners to ensure that Hamas, and the factions, comply with their obligations and that New Gaza poses no threat to its neighbors or its people. 15. The United States will work with Arab and international partners to develop a temporary International Stabilization Force (ISF) to immediately deploy in Gaza. The ISF will train and provide support to vetted Palestinian police forces in Gaza, and will consult with Jordan and Egypt who have extensive experience in this field. This force will be the long-term internal security solution. The ISF will work with Israel and Egypt to help secure border areas, along with newly trained Palestinian police forces. It is critical to prevent munitions from entering Gaza and to facilitate the rapid and secure flow of goods to rebuild and revitalize Gaza. A deconfliction mechanism will be agreed upon by the parties. 16. Israel will not occupy or annex Gaza. As the ISF establishes control and stability, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) will withdraw based on standards, milestones, and timeframes linked to demilitarization that will be agreed upon between the IDF, ISF, the guarantors, and the Unites States, with the objective of a secure Gaza that no longer poses a threat to Israel, Egypt, or its citizens. Practically, the IDF will progressively hand over the Gaza territory it occupies to the ISF according to an agreement they will make with the transitional authority until they are withdrawn completely from Gaza, save for a security perimeter presence that will remain until Gaza is properly secure from any resurgent terror threat. 17. In the event Hamas delays or rejects this proposal, the above, including the scaled-up aid operation, will proceed in the terror-free areas handed over from the IDF to the ISF. 18. An interfaith dialogue process will be established based on the values of tolerance and peaceful co-existence to try and change mindsets and narratives of Palestinians and Israelis by emphasizing the benefits that can be derived from peace. 19. While Gaza re-development advances and when the PA reform program is faithfully carried out, the conditions may finally be in place for a credible pathway to Palestinian self-determination and statehood, which we recognize as the aspiration of the Palestinian people. 20. The United States will establish a dialogue between Israel and the Palestinians to agree on a political horizon for peaceful and prosperous co-existence.

Toronto parking enforcement facing backlash after alleged time theft exposed: David Menzies There oughta be a law! Toronto’s meter maids are ripping off taxpayers for $6 million/year! And after our expose, it’s business as usual! Rebel News recently returned to the scene of the crime. But there’s a twist to this true crime story: the criminals aren’t gangbangers, but rather, members of law enforcement! Astute viewers of Rebel News might recall that earlier this month we paid a visit to the headquarters for the central division of Toronto Parking Enforcement in north Toronto. The reason for our house call: we were told by an insider that parking enforcement officers were engaging in time theft. Which is to say, they are supposed to work 10 hours per shift, but they are only putting in eight hours (or less.) Teaming up with Jay Bannister of Mad Lab Press, we were able to document that morning shift starting duty at 6 a.m. They are supposed to be working until 4 p.m. But no: at around 1:30 p.m., the meter maids began returning to HQ. This time banditry works out to almost $6 million in theft. Our insiders say it has been going on for years now, meaning the City of Toronto (a.k.a., the taxpayer) has been hoodwinked for tens of millions of dollars! And yes, we caught them red-handed coming back to HQ early, surely yet another P.R. black eye for the Toronto Police Operations. So, what happened in the aftermath? You’re not going to believe it… According to our sources, the police brass conducted no fewer than six “emergency meetings” after our story aired. But get this: the focus of the meetings wasn’t to put an end the time-theft. Rather, the brass was hellbent on finding out who leaked the information to Rebel News! As a result, we were told, every officer on duty that shift was interrogated. But think of the logic here. There are some 400 parking enforcement officers working at three separate divisions. What makes the head honchos think that our source was someone at this particular division working this particular morning shift? Seriously, who’s running the cop shop in Hogtown these days: Sherlock Holmes or Inspector Clouseau? It gets worse: our sources tell us that the parking enforcement poohbahs are now looking into relocating this division to a purely private and gated facility. That’s the setup for the East and West parking divisions. Alas, at the central division, the meter maids share the parking lot with spaces set aside for public parking… which allows pesky journalists to ask impolite questions. So, instead of reading the riot act and telling employees to put in a full shift, the brass wants to put the corruption behind closed doors and carry on business as usual! Unbelievable. So, what about the gatekeepers for the cops? Well, we reached out to Councillor Shelly Carroll. She’s the chair of the Toronto Police Services Board. Our emails weren’t even acknowledged. We also reached out to the media relations department of the City of Toronto. We received a response from Melanie (no surname.) Here it is: “Thank you for your inquiry. This matter falls under the jurisdiction of Toronto Police Service; please direct questions to TPS.” There are two problems with this suggestion. First, it is members of the TPS who are the thieves! Reaching out to the TPS would be like going to the Godfather to complain about mafia activity in the neighbourhood. Secondly, it’s a moot point. As we explained to Melanie, the Toronto Police will NOT respond to media requests from Rebel News. (They much prefer to deal with the trained seals in the mainstream media.) It’s a classic Catch-22. And sure enough, it was indeed business as usual last Tuesday afternoon. In fairness, the meter maids didn’t return at 2 p.m., but rather 2:30 p.m. – a full 90 minutes before their shifts were supposed to end. Now the question remains: who do you call when it’s the cops who are the bad guys and the people who oversee the cops don’t give a rodent’s rectum?

This heartbreaking moment is just before 34-year-old Zimbabwean musician Tatenda Pinjisi died after an accident on his way to a show in Kadoma. He died in Zimbabwe’s biggest hospital, Sally Mugabe Hospital, formerly known as Harare Hospital (paGomo). I have spoken to a doctor who works there. There were no lights, and the nurses had to use a cellphone torch, as you can see in the video. There were no painkillers, as you can hear him begging for Pain-Eeze, a local painkiller only meant for moderate pain. This is a man who had broken bones, he died in excruciating pain. He suffered! The doctor told me that what he needed was a strong painkiller, but as I often report here, there was nothing available to give him. The doctor said no patient should die like this from a road accident if they have managed to reach a central hospital alive. But in Zimbabwe, you die because there is nothing in the public hospitals, absolutely nothing. Tatenda should not have died, but he died because of Mnangagwa’s corrupt rule, which loots public funds meant for hospitals. I heard that one of Zimbabwe’s biggest musicians, Aleck Macheso broke down and cried on stage and abandoned his show when he heard the news. But I have a question for my brother Macheso. What goes through your mind as musicians when you go to sing and praise for this regime? Tatenda is not the first musician to die like this. Garry Mapanzure died the same way. Why do you promote a political system that is killing your own people? And to the fans of musicians who sing and twerk for ZANUPF, why do you go to shows of musicians that glorify the system that is killing you daily? You must reflect if you have common sense. The doctor who called me today asked me to tell ALL Zimbabweans that if you are in Zimbabwe, your turn will come, it is a matter of time, unless you use private hospitals. She said there is a total breakdown of emergency medicine in Zimbabwe. She also said I must tell even the rich that if you are involved in a car accident while coming from your village, you will be taken to the nearest available public hospital, where you will die like Tatenda before the cushy ambulance arrives from Harare to take you to a private hospital. To anyone who considers themselves an opposition politician, keeping quiet about this is equal to supporting the regime, it is tacit endorsement of the status-quo! As a Zimbabwean citizen, I am willing to buy a container of pain medicine for our people with my own money, provided there is an opposition leader willing to handle the paperwork for a duty-free certificate. May Tatenda’s soul rest in peace🙏🏿🙏🏿
